Remember "Better With Kinect" for ME3?  Should this be in ME:A? Thoughts?

Nothing that has ever featured Kinect support has benefited from it, except for applications that were designed around the Kinect itself from their inception.

Yeah, all these uppity new video games trying to get me off my couch and work out.

If I wanted to do that I wouldn't be playing a ****** video game.

I used the kinect once at my friend's house about a year ago. We'd been drinking and decided to play Harry Potter for the kinect. It was fun for all the wrong reasons. Yeah, that night of drinking certain was better with the kinect.

Unless they want to incorporate voice commands again for the Xbox version, I don't see the point.

I could see having voice commands again, but I don't think anything beyond that would really be that useful.

The kinect is for losers and children.

I'm a boss at Kinect Sports.

Isn't the Kinect dead? With the HoloLens gimmick on the horizon i am pretty sure Kinect is buried and dead. I never used it for ME3, was it actually any good?

Only if it promises to add to the immersion of romance. After all, it can read body temperature and heartbeat now.

Please, please, oh Please don't let MEA be optimized for consoles.

Look at the mess that is DAI for PC. Or Arkham.

Make it work for all.

And like all great technologies, it is quickly adapted for porn.

As one of the poor, naive souls who bought a Kinect for ME3, I can answer this question for you.

No.

There was a noticeable delay, so to go through a door you needed to shout "OPEN" at it (possibly two or three times before it understands you), wait for the command to go through, then wait a little longer for the door to open. How marketers thought this was "better" than just pressing A is beyond me.

You could also switch weapons and use powers, but the aforementioned delay meant you were rarely aiming at your intended target by the time the power fired, leading to a lot of wayward casts.

Kinect? What's a Kinect?

In the case you are about to write to tell me what is a Kinect don't. I know very well what it is. It's to underline the pointlessness of that feature.

ME:A might actually be better without Kinect, as Microsoft are making the system resources previously reserved for the Kinect available for developers to use.

i don't know about that it's quite good fun issuing instructions using your voice that's one thing I do enjoy about Kinect on the XB1. I kind the camera featuer a bit pointless but maybe with time I'll enjoy using that too.

I feel the same way with VR games.

Sure, maybe when I was younger, had more free energy and time.  Sure.  Yah, maybe then.  Now?   Nope.

To answer the question: No, it's a gimmick to use the crappy Kinect, and I have YET to use it on my Xbox 360.  However, I do use the "Kinect 2.0," on my XB1 though.  Only when I play NBA 2K against the CPU...

Tbh I can see only two reason to ever use a Kinect:

1)That scanning tech for making our protagonist look like us in BW games (however this seriously need to work good).

2) If for some dreaded reason my PC broke beyond repair (and need to save up money) I can make Skype calls with that.

Still nothing of that sort happened (thankfully) and I don't plan on spending money on gimmicks.
