[Andraste_Reborn]

I've had Dragon Age for a bit over twenty-four hours, and it's already one of my favourite RPGs of all time. I've never anticpated a game this much (my first ever pre-order and my first ever collected edition) and it actually manages to live up to the hype, at least for me.

Ever since I started looking into its development about a year ago, it's sounded like something that's perfect for me, and the strong emphasis on character and story plus the pause-and-play tactical combat have not disappointed me so far. My human noble rogue is on level seven already (no, I didn't get much sleep last night) and I'm having a fantastic time.

Now the amusing part: for the past nine and a half years, I've been using Andraste as my screen name - even friends offline often call me that. The extra 'e' at the end for this particular forum is because my handle was already taken when I registered - and now I know why .  Imagine my surprise when I found out that I shared the name of the great prophet - after many hours of play, I still do a double-take whenever anyone mentions her.  I guess I should have realised from Morrigan's name that the developers share my interest in Celtic mythology.

Now, off to hunt for the ashes of my namesake ...
