I'm also fearing that if they don't fix it, all of my legit friends would quit. There would be no more legit people to make friend with and play private games with. What you are proposing is very reasonable but not possible a lot of the time due to the current small amt of players. Half my friend list are playimg ESO. I'm just trying to say something so Fiddz and Luke can notice before 3/4 of my friend list are playing ESO.

And exactly why it should be fixed

Sorry for soap boxing, but i work nights atm and bored so i just troll the forums lol. But:

During the winter time when the key bug was rampant, the games had no hope. Forums were much worse than now. Penquin, the guy who is mod of the reddit DAIMP forums, loved daimp more than anyone else was defending bw. But he too became disallusioned due to the neglagiance of bw staff then. He finally had enough and spoke up against them and was banned. I quit daimp for a good 4 months shortly after that. What a disgrace that event was.

But with luke joining the team, bw got a lot better with content, esp dragonslayer dlc. Also got a lot better with communication. I have very few posts on this forum but i have been lurking since november when the game was released. Finally speaking up now because luke is actually very responsive, and i am hopeful that bw will actuall do something.

Sounds like my schedule Bear.
Play DAMP at home, play forums at work :P

I honestly think Luke is the only reason this game is still alive. I was a reddit poster till he showed up here. His proactive attitude and genuine interest in the game had me sold from day 1.

Hope ya readin Luke!
We love ya mate!
Fix our game :)

I've had better...

Nah, he's ok... ;)  Whole team seems to be working hard together to keep the community alive.

From what I've heard on the stream he's working all night doing fixes and balance only to release them and get people to start crying about something else.

Such a rewarding job.

Luke is probably the most well respected dev on this entire forum. Ive not heard anyone say anything negative about him or his work.

This is simply our version of FBWGG.  And the reason for some not being happy with it is not the very occasional occurrence when it happens it is that it happens in most games now as the knowledge grows.

At the height of FBWGG you could go into 10 lobbies and 8 of them would be set to that map and faction, at least you know where the matches was going.  with the p[problem now you have no idea what is happening until you see the fateful double gold rolling up.

Hope not! I put in 16hrs yesterday!!
I really do love this game a lot :)
Honestly, prestige adjustments are the best you can hope for.
For me, I'm hoping for Hakkon Bow.

It's been a good argument, i certainly respect your point of view.
I hope you stick with DAMP. Long term players are what keeps the game rolling on.
And I seriously hope BW sorts their shitt out.

Regards

Just out of curiousity,

How many promotions did you get from 16 hrs of 2XP glitch, if you dont mind sharing?

I really love the holier-than-thou attitude a lot of people have developed since this glitch.

By not using the glitch you have some sort of moral high ground over people who do?!?

People saying things like players leaving in droves. It's BS. You have no idea how many players are coming or going. Sure maybe your "too pure for this glitch" friends are leaving. If anything, I've found more new people than ever on my ps4 pugs. But I have no idea if the ayerbase is growing or shrinking.

It really amazes me; when something becomes a possible ethics and morality issue, people just hop on the bandwagon so hard.

Do you do it because it makes you feel good?
Does denigrating people using it make you feel better?
Why does a sense of superior morality giving you a right to lord it over another person and denigrate them?

Thank god I'm not on the leaderboards, I'm hundreds of points away. At least you creepy SJWs can't spy on me like some nanny state.

That's all I'm going to say on the issue. I'm bowing out of the forums until all this toxic nonsense is done. Forum-wise this is a worse level of toxicity than the keybug produced.

See you guys!

By not using an exploit, choosing not to violate bioware's ToS, and deciding not to cheat I am better than the people who are using this bug and so are the many others who are deciding not to cheat as well.

I do not do it because it makes me feel good. I am bringing up the issue because what has taken me many months of work promotion wise is being accomplished in a matter of weeks. This is wrong, not equitable, and not fair to those of us who have played within the rules.

I am bringing up the issue because what has taken me many months of work promotion wise is being accomplished in a matter of weeks. This is ...not equitable

Bioware needs to make a decision about what course of action will be taken, quickly. Then they need to inform the community.

This bug was introduced with the most recent patch. It wasn't brought to the attention of the the community until the double XP weekend. Bioware has issued the following statements thus far.

1. The bug requires a patch to be removed.

2. Repercussions through bans are a possibility.

As a result of Bioware's stance the following has occurred:

1. Bug has become common knowledge and is being used by a large portion of the player-base.

We are aware challenge progress tracking can be difficult at times. Gold gained in "random" lobbies, dragon slayer, weekend events, new agent completions

We are aware that a substantial increase in the bugs use has occurred

We are aware that the player base of DAMP is already small

We are aware DAMP is a casual PVE/COOP game

The advantage that is available by playing in these bugged lobbies is absurd. Promoting in bugged lobbies at a rate of 3+ per hour versus non-bugged lobbies is certainly not equitable. As a community we need to know what is going to come of this, so we can conduct ourselves accordingly.

You brought me right back out of hiding, I must learn to control my urges to post.

You think violating a ToS of a video game makes someone a "worse" person than you?

Heads up buddy, a ToS is a private contract between an individual and service provider. Choosing to abide or not abide that contract has no impact on someone's worth as a human being. You have no right to judge another.

Throw the first stone much?

What I see here is a moral superiority complex. With bonus points for SJW terminology like "fairness and equality".

This time I'm going to have to delete the forum bookmark to make sure I don't indulgently view or post anymore ._.
