My comment on not supporting SP DLC. My comment in general:
The practice of not disclosing End-of-Lifecycle support prior to a software release is unprofessional and very unethical. This is more of that game publishers getting away with things other software companies wouldn't dare to do. How do they expect gamers to support their companies when they keep pulling crap like this?
I thoroughly understand the design process, platform testing and decision making that comes with setting system requirements. I do it for a living. It gives me keen insight to know when a ---- move is being pulled. If you're not going to support a game for a platform during its entire support cycle then you shouldn't release it on that platform at all. Support does NOT mean just fixing bugs. It means that all enhancements (in this case DLCs) are compatible as well.
I think it time gamers start demanding that GPs disclose what DLCs they can expect with games, the timelines for releases, turnaround times for bug fixes, full disclosure on system requirements (especially for PC), and quality assurances extended beyond 15-30 day evaluations (i.e. if you release a crap product, don't adhere to promises made in advertisements, or game require fixes that take longer than evaluation times then the buyers are entitled to a nominal refund or credit towards a newer game/DLCs).
When someone screws up on our team that's how we handle things. It's time we start holding them accountable.
