Hey. I was trying to find a solution here, but it doesn't seem that anyone has experience with the same bug as I do.

 

When I go to Crestwood, everything's fine... Unless I want to claim the keep. I fight the bandits and the chief, but when I want to claim the keep, it shows the cutscene and then the loading screen takes place. And suddenly, the little green loading button stops flashing and the game stucks. I have to close the game with Task Manager...

 

I was trying to load the same save file and it didn't help.

I was trying to load a previous safe file from Crestwood and it didn't help.

I was trying to load a save file from Skyhold before I even went to Crestwood and it did not help.

I was trying to restart my laptop and repete the things I mentioned and it didn't help either.

 

It seems like the game decided that it won't let me further. Deliberately. It does stuck when it goes from "Cards loading screen" to the "Black loading screen". It flashes for half a minute, but then it stops.

 

Does anyone has a solution or, at least, the same problem?

Has this happened multiple times?  Frequently, the end of a plot quest triggers a crash, but usually there's a save at some point not too far back to go to.  Have you tried that?  What about the save before it, because sometimes one will be subtly corrupted.  If you're talking about something that doesn't usually happen, I've no idea.  Sorry.

are you running any Mods?

 

Have you tried loading a previous save and switching your characters around.

Sounds like it's related to the game's own files and not the save.  Have you tried using the 'Repair' option in Origin?

I am not using any mods, so it cannot be that.

 

I will try the "Repair" option and let you know. However, I was trying almost everything excluding this option, which means another saves, other characters etc., and it still crashes.

So, I have tried the option and repeated everything. Nothing happened, it still gets stuck at the same place.

 

I honestly have no idea by what this is caused, but I cannot go further in the main quest. :/ What should I do, then?

try in windowed mode and if your game installed on hdd wait about 5-6 minutes, drivers for your videocard is up to date?

So, tried to reinstall it and update drivers. Still encouter this bug... Tried it in Windowed mode, but it still happens. :/

 

When I try to run it in Windowed mode, it gets stuck and when I minimalize and maximize it, this happens:

Was anyone able to solve the problem? Have the exact same issue. Tried everything. Bug makes the game literally unplayable further on.
