My favorite is Emerald graves. It's lush green and pretty, and so full of mythical auras.

In terms of atmosphere and exploration, the Hissing Wastes. Nothing beats a nuggalope around the desert under the moon, searching for lost dwarven treasure. In terms of plot, Crestwood. They really nailed the major side quest there; I hope they take their cues from it going forward. (And given that the Frostback Basin is similarly well-intergrated into the story, I think they will.)
Probably Crestwood. It has one of the best side quests, the rainy atmosphere is great, and I like how the level changes up as the quest progresses.
Hissing Wastes and Frostback Basin. I like both for how different they seem to the other areas, plus big exploration areas.
Crestwood. Everything about it. And I don't know if main story quest areas count for this, but if so then the Winter Palace and Arbor Wilds/Temple of Mythal were just gorgeous. The Winter Palace actually felt much bigger than it actually was, and it was so fun sneaking around or eavesdropping. Anything that gives me something to do besides "storm in here and kill everything" gets major points with me.
If not, my honorable mention for maps is Emprise du Lion.
Frostback Basin
Storm Coast. I love the grapics with the waves crashing against the rocks, In fact I have a screenshot of it on my desktop . Which I got off nexus mods. Called Animated desktop wallpaper of Inquisition. It has this one and a lot more,
I like the Western Approach.
I like Emprise du lion. It's really pretty with the winter landscape and the red lyrium, plus it has three dragons.
The more I play the more I think the Hinterlands is fantastic. There's so much of it and lots of things are happening. It's also the area where you see the Inquisition being proactive in dealing with the problems of Southern Thedas, instead of the reactive nature of dealing with Corypoopants plans that you get with most other areas. I've always felt that the plot concentrated far too much on the latter rather than the former.
Hissing Wastes is also great. Beautiful, haunting and rewarding. I hope they build on the dwarven plot there, it has possibilities.
I haven't been to Frostback Basin yet (maybe today), so can't comment.
My favourites visually are Emerald Graves and Fallow Mire; plot wise, Crestwood hands down.
If main quest locations count, the Temple of Mythal, it's breathtaking.
I adore the Exalted Plains. Solid Story. Solid Lore. Solid Tone. Solied environemental beauty and ambiance. Probably if we are going into pure story considerations the Empirse Du Lion is probably my favorite. And that also goes into gameplay as well.
The Storm Coast is probably my favorite for environment, though I do wish it were a little bigger, with more story and more to explore.
My favorites are Crestwood and the Hinterlands for quests and story, Emerald Graves for the environment.
Emprise du Lion
Crestwood. I like rain and storms.
Its hard to say but either Crestwood or the Frostback Basin. I love how Crestwood changes from a dark stormy place full of doom and gloom to something lighter brighter and summer. Where as I love the visuals and diffrent areas we can explore within the Frostback Basin.
Crestwood as far as the side quests go.
It term of atmosphere, the Hissing Wastes.
Fallow mire. Dark and dank. Kind of creepy. Too small, too short, but still very sweet.
Exalted plains because of the totally depressing vibe. Very well done.
Emerald graves was nice, but then i played The Witcher 3 and that kind of redefined video game forrests for me...
Storm Coast wins. Western Approach comes close. Hissing Wastes seems like a night-side of the WA to me, they are too much alike, probably because I've been to WA first.
