I think it would be pretty cool to have facial tattoos in Mass Effect Andromeda. I like facial tattoos in sci-fi and I think a lot of people would like to put tattoos on their characters faces. Halo 4 did it right

Depends on the background of the protagonist. Not sure if the Alliance military would allow it, if we're a soldier.

You don't customize your character's face in Halo 4, just their armor. You never even see your character out of their armor.

 

But I don't see any problem with having the option to have tattoos, scars, burns, etc on your character's face.

Perhaps better than facial hair or tats is the ability to scan your own face for the protagonist.

 

Yes ladies and gents Mac Walters mentioned there is a great Forstbite 3 feauture... wait for it..... wait for it... .. face-scanning tech. It was demonstrated in EA's latest NBA franchise title.

 

Who cares about facial tats if we can scan our very own mug shot?

I have tattoos on my arms and legs, but I couldn't see having one on my face or the main character's face. 

 

The tattoo that Vega has on his neck would prevent him from being in the military, at least in the US Army, but it seems to be ok for the Alliance military.

If the character is military again I can do without the facial tattoos. I wouldn't mind if they were included, but I wouldn't consider it a 'must have' feature for the CC considering it would be somewhat at odds with the character's background. It would make more sense for a mercenary or a pirate, or something along those lines.

 

If the character is military some tattoo options on the arms and such in the CC would be great however. People in the military are kind of like bikers when it comes to tattoos, at least in the West. The people without at least one are the minority.

Almost forgot to mention that in DAI, tattoos were available only with HIGH settings... that lead to performance problems with minimal hardware.

 

I'd rather have good game performance than frame rate stuttering due to tattoos rendering layers.

I don't have a problem with facial tattoos in and of themselves, but when it's just facial tattoos, it always looks really weird to me. They're something that goes with a well tattooed body, but on their own they just look odd.

I want full body tattoos reminiscent of Pacific Islanders, Japanese Irezumi, Norse symbolism and maybe a few sci-fi looking ones.

Would personally prefer body tattoos and more scars. Facial tattoos on a soldier seem... unlikely. When they showed the "Hero" at comicon he/she was wearing Alliance Marine Gear similiar to Captain N7's armor so I assume we're Military.

If you are in the military, there will be to many restrictions on the head creation -- that includes face tattoos. If you are a smuggler, outlaw, mercenary, bounty hunter, or courier, I could see more freedom; however, it is already confirmed that at least one of your squadmates are in the Alliance and graduated from the N7 program, so you will have at least some ties to the military. I cannot see the military working with any of the fields I mentioned except a mercenary or courier. But why would the Alliance military need a mercenary or courier to go to another galaxy? ... maybe I am over thinking this...

Anyway, whatever we are, I would not mind face tattoos -- despite having mixed views on tattoos.
