I don't recall there being so many tears when we had the key glitch. You know, something that actually mattered.

Are you serious? The forums were aflamed. People got banned left and right. People were threatening to sue bw. The big boss had to step in to lock threads. I bet amellia got fired. The tears were aplenty.

I might be misremembering this, but that situation wasn't just about that bug specifically. We had myriad bugs & crashes, lack of additional content and zero interaction with the devs. That's what I remember causing the revolution, not just the key bug.

As far as i remember, the voldemort thread came out when a patch was issued that drastically nerfed the reaver through a lazy rampage fix, the AWs fade shield was buffed because reasons and the promised key bug fix was nowhere to be found. Devs were MIA other than the odd meme post and generally treating us like children and people were seriously pissed off over the whole thing.

I know several BSNers were banned as a result of that thread. Forums were up in arms with lawsuits being threatened and nothing short of calls for blood.

Then afterwards, we got the weekly livestreams, blar, billy and bluke started communications with us and all is well.

All in all, i think that period did a lot of good for this community. The games in a much better place and the forums are too (aside from the current QQing about leaderboards).

Yeah, that sounds about right. You're also right about it being a good thing in the end. I might not have got so disillusioned with things if we'd had all that right from the start.

At least with the key glitch you could uninstall that version since it wasn't an automatic update. I've met a few people that didn't know there was was a key glitch since they never uploaded. There were two versions concurrently played.

Quoted for truth.

And that single glitch took months to get fixed.

I have a better idea:

Scrap the whole thing and replace it with a sign reading "You are awesome!".
This way everyone whould be happy.

Ya know I don't usually care for this kind of thing but

Shouldn't I have gotten trophies on my PS3?
