So I know that you can detonate/prime at the same time in certain cases, such as detonating a Fire Explosion with Warp, which also primes for a Biotic Explosion that can be detonated right away.  It is to my knowledge that this only works when you are converting a Tech Explosion to a Biotic Primer.  A few weeks ago I discovered what I thought was something different when I was able to (with a buddy of course) Singularity->Lash->Reave for two Bio-Booms, but after feedback on here, can only assume that Singularity was just re-priming for the second boom.

This brings me to last night, when my buddy and I were playing the Drell Adept and the Smashguard respectively.  He threw a Reave at a Collector Captain, I Lashed him for an explosion, and then immediately after, he Reaved again and it made another explosion.  We both immediately noticed and were like "WHAT?!"  At first we thought it was a fluke as there was an ACA in the game, maybe he DC'd or something, but it was so quick that we decided to test it and after a few more tests with Reave, and a few with Warp, we realized that Lash seems to be able to detonate and prime on the same impact.

I'm almost positive that IF this isn't because of lag, most of you already know it exists, so I apologize for the useless info.  However, I did also want to know if there are any other combos that are like this?  Anything that can detonate and prime on one shot?  And I suppose if anyone didn't know this, it will be helpful.  Lash is already pretty much my favorite skill in the game and this just adds to the beauty.  Thanks guys!

Cheers.

Double explosions are awesome.. a few weeks ago I heard / set off 3 biotic explosions at once.. I had no idea that was possible. It was on a Prime no less. I was a justicar..saw him coming around the corner from the basement on glacier..I reave,  go in for the bubble and boom-boom-boom all at once..I think cause I use radius on reave it must have either hit his drones and whatever was standing next to him when the bubble went up..I am used to double booms...like reave / bubble / reave again really fast but I never heard anything like that..I was just so shocked from what I heard I think I just stood there the rest of the wave.  Yes, Lash can prime & detonate..it is beautiful.

The answer is this:

... Many manly Krogan headbutts to those who understand it and share the feeling.

That being said, that lash can detonate and prime for a BE is something new to me. Although I never use it, so it's not surprising. The only power I know of that does the same thing is the Justicar's bubble when specced offensively.

It has to do with Lash being a primer and a detonator. For some combinations, it has a buggy interaction. This was discussed in one of my threads...

Yes, lash can detonate a BE and re-prime in one use. Although, I believe the window is quite short. It is one of the two powers to do that (the other being warp bubble).

Edit: I am not sure if picking a specific evo causes that (I am guessing the rank 5 DoT evo has something to do with it but not 100% sure)

Someone posted once that Smash can also detonate and prime in one cast.  Same goes for Lifting Shockwave.  I have never tested either one though.  Also, Singularity can technically prime and detonate in one cast, if you take the detonation evolution.

Thanks Justin, i did nt knew for lash, that s quite awesome. Kindamazing we still discover stuff :D

Priming has the same duration window wether it detonated a BE first or it did not ?

I made a thread about that few months ago.

Your phrasing make me thing u missed one part : U can get 2 combos in 3 casts if the second power both detonate the first one and prime for another boom type, not necessarly BE. That s why HE (ovld, inci) and QME (arc nades, inci) are awesome, cause each of their cast gives a combo

SmashDept tested last night.  I hadn't used him in about a year..last night I did cuz I was curious about both powers being able to prime & detonate..It's true..they both can.  I Lashed a nemesis, she didn't die..then I smashed her :biotic explosion. I smashed a nemesis, she didn't die..then I Lashed her: biotic explosion  ..there you have it folks.

Err...I think you may have missed the point.

OP's point is about lash priming after detonating a BE. If you use lash to detonate a BE, will that particular lash prime for a BE? And the answer is yes.

So, singularity > lash > smash will give you two BEs.

It's hard to actually test this with a fully-leveled character, because the first BE detonated will often kill the enemy.  I played a round with the PA last night though, and the Detonate/Prime with Lash seemed to work.

Yeah, that's about it for Smash testing.

Lash is easier to test - you can just hit a shielded enemy with Singularity and then immediately Lash them, then Smash.  The first BE often won't kill them if they have full shields.

Nice.  I'll have to try this on some Phantoms...withOUT firing mah Lolcolyte in between.

Usually the Singularity --> Lolcolyte --> Lash BE-kabooms kills them off quite well...especially with the Lash DOT.

I'll also have to refrain from floating them with a tempting follow-up Singularity and just go for the Smash.

Too bad Smash has to be double cast in order to detonate then prime.

Especially if it's a stun capable weapon (e.g. Falcon).

Although I slightly prefer going for TB zaps using Disruptor ammo.  But either way...oodles of good fun.

Double rainbow!  Not sure if anyone else got it.

OT: I never knew this about Lash.  Amazing what new things you can discover about a 3 year old game.

Is it possible to
singularity>lash>smash>singularity explodes?
3bes in 3 casts? Or is the cool downs too long.
