No nerf needed, if anything Dragons need a buff as they are much easier than fighting original faction bosses.
Besides, more Willpower and Lightning Resistance gear, upgrades and potions should make dragons trivial enough even on Nightmare.

Until they make Frost dragon one-shot you I doubt the other dragons will be regularly fought unless for the challenge or you have too many promotions to care. Still learning where the dragon can't hit you on FC and having resistance pots is key.

Lol lightning dragon is pretty op for noob players, I've seen a number of them die to lightning attacks before we even reach zone 5 in FC.

 

But he/she is supposed to be the hardest dragon so select frost or fire instead.

You and a buddy should have eletric resist potion and atleast 1 armor upgrade to resist ligthning on...

I wouldn't mind an ground target area indicator for the projectile while it is in flight at least. It's bad enough that you can't hear the assassins because the sound glitches out so often.

I don't really mind the lightning dragon much for the dragon fight. It's a really fun fight, the hardest one of the bunch. But god does the motherfucker suck when you're fighting normal faction bosses on FC.

When they appear around your party, everyone takes massive damages as soon as they overlap - i.e. stay away from one another the best you can.

 

That's probably what's getting you all the time, because there's no fancy explosion when you're taking damage from it. But it's quite simple to avoid once you know what you're dealing with. The only time it can get messy is when she does the wing flap thing shortly after, but that's where Lightning Resistance Potions help you out.

Rogues for example with upgraded Stealth ability can get rid of the lightning cycles by simply going into Stealth. But for some classes (like every warrior class), it really nukes you in seconds if you got more than 1 player within melee range to the dragon. Since the dragon almost always combines both attacks you mentioned (lightning aura + flappy wing attack, that draws you close to it), the NM storm dragon is incredibly hard compared to the other two types. This combination makes him so op.

I have promotion in the 80s over even 90s and was using a lightning potion, but the aura still hit me for 200 dmg per second, wrecking my katari in seconds on NM difficulty.

The lightning circles aren't that bad, but getting hit the huge lightning ball AoE that ticks every second for a quarter of my life does suck. Not that I think it should be nerfed. But man it does suck, especially on those runs where the dragon designates me for target practice.

On those runs then the best thing to do is stay away from ya! Yet make sure your still alive, never know who the dragon will prefer next!
