What function does Focus have in mp?

None that I'm aware of.

None, but the majority of the weapons and accessories in DA MP are carried over from SP, without any alterations to their bonuses, so it's not surprising that there are weapons that boost Focus despite it not having a role in DA MP.

if it's a particularly powerful item, hang onto it just in case... you never know what updates might drop

We do.  They just don't use focus.

Unfortunately can't take them out of your inventory, I can only try to remove them from the drop tables. So to be more specific, let me know if you have recently got one from a chest - I know some of those are definitely removed

I got ruthless dagger twice yesterday and it had focus on my screen, however I salvaged it in the store before checking it in my inventory tab, maybe focus gain is displaying on item card in store and not in inventory?
