Prime TB with Talon > charge > bonus power procs > immediately smash and animation cancel > repeat.

 

It's what Knocking-senpai told me to do years ago, and I've never looked back.

Indeed:). It was a bit like shotgun clays, you send fake ninja bitches into orbit and I blow their heads off when they try and jetboot cheat their way out of it. (Or I blast the barrier away and you send them to the moon, either way:).

If only the talkative pug had made himself useful by shouting "pull" everytime you hit one.

Quarksman simply double taps them in .5 of a second. They're like any shielded mook except they Leeroy Jenkins straight at you, just begging to sacrifice themselves to the melon god. (Actually, they're even easier than shield mooks on gold because you needn't even hit the head more than once for a 2hk).

Well Mantis should be able to OHK headshot them on gold at least if you take proper mods, amps and ammo, and that before debuffs or weapon damage increasing powers.

In fact, a QMI can even OHK them with a single cloaked bodyshot if tacscan is active and you gear him really specifically (sniper gear, amp and and warp ammo IV), though that is obviously a bit silly to do when you could just shoot them in the face.

Played the Smashdept against Cerberus last night.  2wice I was able to 2 Smash 2 goons at once. My job was finished for the night.

I'm using the Mantis because it's the only thing I have with enough spike damage to punch through Gold-level armor. Warp helps, too (as do the biotic explosions). Goons are the only mook I can headshot with any regularity while moving, due to their obliging absence of lateral movement. I think I'm dumping them with the Warp headshot, but I don't want to risk the miss, with Throw able to close the deal after a body shot. Depends on the ammo.

1. It's really hard to choose between the two but I think I'll have to go with the smashdept by a small margin. Less having to deal with squishyness, really.
2. Talon. I would probably choose the wraith if I had it. unmaxedmanifestprobs. Using the venom is great for the Michael Bay and priming, though.
3. I don't know how anyone could choose this while being completely serious.

1.)  Goonguard. I guess the adept seems a bit boring to me compared to the goonguard. 

 

2.) Talon or Wraith. 6/6/6/5/3 is the build I use.

The Smashguard is the only Vanguard I actually enjoy playing as a Vanguard. Plus one of the most enjoyable close quarter kits in the game next to Fury.

Used to be my go-to tryhard kit in my Silver days.  Then when I went to gold, my lack of hosting really curtailed my satisfaction.  He got shelved in favor of his 'Dept bro.

 

But I was hosting last night so I dusted him off.  Took about a wave and a half to get back into the groove...and then it clicked.  Felt like old times.  The charges.  The whips.  The electro drumstick staggerjabs (god, those are fun vs flashlights...especially Hunters).
