The smashguard is the only vanguard that can self-detonate BEs on all defenses. A very special vanguard indeed. Since BEs are awesome, I use warp ammo instead of some tech stuff.
His smash can do ~5700 damage to armor and barriers. It is the second highest armor damaging power (excl. lolgrenades) in the game (spike damage, no DoT)

But claymore GI has no style. Smashguard is full of style. There in lies the difference.

Can't really disagree with that. Claymore almost makes GI tolerable, but... no, not gonna touch that.

I was excluding grenades. I don't like calling them 'powers'. Fixed for clarity through.
Even sticky grenades do more armor damage than smash.

SS can do about 9000 spike damage to armor, plus the additional 50% DOT (which I think is multiplicative, but I'm not sure).

To me, waaaaaaaay sounds like a >100% damage increase or sth.
I excluded DoT damage in my first post anyway. The 6 bars was with no-DoT build (just max damage).

Ah, OK. I'll just say way more damage then. All those extra A's are misleading.
