I am sorry if this is already a thread, I am sure it is, but I had to contribute. I am disappointed in the lack of romances in this DA game. The only options if you are a straight dude are Cassandra, Josephine, and Sera. I like Cassandra but Josephine is also the only option if you want to play a gay female character, so that sort of takes away from it. And Sera is fugly as hell. I mean, the only female elf we get in the game and it looks like she was hit with an ugly stick at birth. Weak. If you play as a gay guy all you have is Dorian. One option, one. If you are a straight female all you have is Iron Bull or Cullen. That is it. I feel like Bioware has done so well with romances in the past and they just got lazy for DAI.
Also, I have only played through once (working on the second), and then I romanced Cassandra, so I don't know about the Josephine yet, but in my opinion the romance "line" was very anticlimactic. I carefully gained Cassandra's approval and it was cute when she started getting all awkward and feely, but after the "big" romance scene, that's it. You can get to that point well before the end of the game and so after the scene, that's it, nothing else to work toward. It would have been nice to have at least more dialogue options afterwards and maybe some good closure scene between my character and Cassandra at the end. It just felt so...unsatisfying. I have a feeling when I try to romance Josephine, it will bear the same result.
Anyone agree?
