So I had this idea in the shower, and maybe we can flesh it out here. If Bioware keeps backup saved states of leaderboards/all players prestige, then the best solution would be to hard reset everyone's prestige score to what it was the day after double xp weekend. I can understand this might be unfair for newer players who are getting all their beginning prestige very quickly through the normal challenges. With this in mind, maybe Bioware could just return the leaderboarders, or those close to it, to their pre-glitched state.

I'm not that concerned about reseting everyone's stats and gold. Am I a little salty because some players have achieved in a few weeks what took me months to earn statwise? Yes, but only a little. In the end, this is a co-op game, so why would I fight against having stronger allies?

At this point, I feel like this idea is the most reasonable way make the leaderboards once again reflect the actual standing of players for those who care about its accuracy.

Of course, all this assumes Bioware is actually able to remove the glitch and do it in a timely manner. Another few weeks of this and then player stats might become really out of hand.

there may be some quantum entanglemnent with how we may sound like great singers in the shower, but outside of the shower.  it's like the great voice just went down the drain.

There are only 100 players on each leaderboard, pls don't try to screw over the majority of the players for something many people don't even know or even care about.

I think it's a great idea dude. That's one big way to fix the cheaters. The drawback is, that it screws over those of us that didn't cheat. I dunno what's the lesser of 2 evils, dealing with the fact that our Leaderboard is poisoned with cheaters, or losing everything we've gained in legit ways over the past 3 weeks.

Well ideally we wouldn't lose anything but the prestige since the day the glitch started. Keep the stats and equips and gold, but everyone would be on the same playing field again only point-wise. Prestige points don't mean much in and of themselves, at least to me. They are just a measuring tool, and as of now the tool is just broken.

Not sure I follow... I've already stated that ideally the reset is for prestiged players on the leaderboard since the the day the glitch started. The rest of the playerbase would remain unaffected.

I disagree with this, but then again I don't see the prestige system as a genital measuring contest.

 

I think it was good that the new players got a boost so we don't have a bunch of lvl 4 unprestiged Archers around dying and farting all over the place.

We will not be resetting the leaderboards.  We will look into exploiters.

Just a side note but the glitch has been abused since the first day of the double xp weekend. As far as I know anyways. I know of no one who discovered before that point.
