It takes a special kind of **** to come into a thread, say "Well this issue doesn't affect me in any way" and then proceed to belittle, attack, and report everyone else that the issue that does affect out of a supremely entitled sense of self-righteousness.

 

 

I can't wait til Bioware stops producing DLCs and support for the Xbox One because it has too many x's in the name, and it reminds them all of their exes, and is triggering.

What does your previous, completely juvenile, post have anything to do with support being droped for your platform (that according to devs is due to patch size limitations imposed by ms/sony, a well known issue throughout the gen btw), how does it help you in any way other than becoming comic relief for yours truly.

Ya know, I had some small hope that this thread would provide a focal point for those upset by the decision made by EA/Bioware to pull support in such an underhanded, imo, manner to express their feelings in a way that could conceivably provide us with some sort of redress; I see now that doesn't seem to be likely.

 

Between the provocateurs, the apologists, the outright unapologetic trolls, and imo, the at best haphazard, if not actively selective enforcement of forum rules I think it safe to say this subject has been effectively shot in the arse.

Bryan, thank you for the info you've provided, and for the effort you've made to remain above the fray, you're obviously in a tough spot; the fact that you're taking the time, on a Sunday, to ride herd on this thread says a lot.

 

I plan to continue playing DAIMP on my PS3, because currently it's the best way to hang out with the friends I've made over the past 6 months or so, and I don't plan to get into another MP game until I get a PS4 in the fall. Honestly, I don't know whether I'll buy a used copy for PS4 or not; frankly I've never had a very good opinion of EA, and can't say I'm very happy with Bioware, despite our long history, but, bad opinion aside, I've still bought EA games, so it is what it is.

 

I would like to know if dropping of support means there will be no more server side balance fixes; I assume it does, which leads me to also assume nothing will be ever be done to fix the XP glitch on PS3 and XB360. If I'm correct in these assumptions, does that also mean that the PS3/XB360 leaderboards are completely pointless, as it appears nothing will be done, despite the TOS reminder, to rectify the prestige gained from intentionally glitched lobbies? Currently, imo, it's the single biggest issue outside of the general unplayabilty of the FC map on Perilous or above under certain circumstances, and has been responsible for a definite fracturing of the community.

ok for the sake of argument, enlighten me how are we (or am I, you never know when it might be personal) throwing tantrums with baseless accusation? is it true that they are removing patch support from both SP and MP for last gen?, is it true both SP and MP are still riddled with bugs, glitches and other nuisances that make the game not work properly on last gen? if the answer is "yes" than how is us stating this in any case baseless?, now if the baseless accusations you are talking about are me asking this:

 

Then why are you here?, i find it kind of petty for a pc gamer who cares nothing for old gen gamer problems to keep roaming on old gen related threads just to talk of how our opinions are cognitively bias when we express our dissatisfaction for a product we paid for and the support we are not getting.

then I ask, are you a pc gamer? have you shown support or care for any of the issues we have been dealing with through out any of the ohh so many threads regarding bug/issues/lack of support on last gen consoles? if the answer to those questions are "yes" for the first and "no" for the second, then i ask again why are you here? if you find our "baseless accusations" and our "tantrums" distasteful, or annoying, or cognitively bias, why keep participating in threads that have nothing to do with your platform or situation as a bioware customer/fan? it's simple you don't need our "tantrums" and we don't need you telling us we are wrong to ask Bioware to be accountable for their decisions.

It would be wise of you to return to my initial comment and read what I have issue with, instead of getting riled up by building yet another false claim against me. Aside from me pointing out an absolutely ridiculous argument, the only other thing I've commented on here was a claim that anyone who criticizes BW is getting banned, which is entirely baseless.

 

Like I said - expressing dissatisfaction is fine. Creating strawmen and hyperboles in what is supposed to be a thread where people are trying to have a rational discourse about a difficult topic is another. The fact that you respond to this by being aggressive, petulant and bearing accusations of me being a sanctimonious, self-righteous PC user only serves to show that my assumptions about some people here being deeply biased are entirely justified.

 

And FYI - I do have a PC and I do have a PS3.

I could be mistaken, as I do not deal with MP (pretty much at all) but I believe server side balance changes will still be happening, you would have to get confirmation from Billy, Blair or Luke.
