Do bioware even listen about what players wishes in here?

I have well over 1000 hours of mass effect triology in total and around 50 playthroughts, and I must say, they've created a beauty of a game, first game that ever got me into space-stuff,the soundtracks,so galaxy'ish.

I want the game to be more like Mass effect (lore, plot, characters, items, upgrades) and an improoved version of Mass Effect 3 combat/gameplay.

I'm extremely afraid about EA,and what's going to do to Bioware, look at witcher 3,It has no restrictions.

Mass effect is a dear game to me ,and a great book with a great relaxing music. The art and the space it's just so wonderfull, from ME TO ME3.

I hear a lot of people got replaced at bioware,do you even think the game will be the same?I want it to have the same nostalgic feeling but to be different aswell.

Witcher... Mass Effect... two completely different game series. One's in space, one's in medieval times, nothing alike.

No, I don't. I already know this new game lost part of what made Mass Effect special to me.

People always claim that BioWare doesn't listen, but their tendency to overcorrect is likely the result of listening a bit too much. Then there's the fact that character content can be heavily influenced by popularity.

Terrible game-play?

No. In the previous games, we visited actual places like certain stars, planets, nebulae, and clusters. Since the games take place in Andromeda now, all that is gone forever.

MEA is a new galaxy and that by itself means being very different from original trilogy.

I just hope they keep great rpg history, lore, etc and very fluid and responsive gameplay.

Dont worry, EA knows they can only make good "last year copy paste sport games" so they wont tell Bioware how to do what they know they do good.

Andromeda doesn't have stars, planets, nebulae, and clusters? Let alone certain, actual ones?

More than likely, those things would be gone regardless of which galaxy we're in. Basically, what would happen is either being isolated in Andromeda, or being isolated in an unfamiliar part of the Milky Way, ensuring that all of the places that would see the most drastic effects of any ending, save Refuse, would never be seen again. Had they canonized Destroy and just went forward with that, I obviously wouldn't complain as an enthusiastic robo-genocidal maniac, but no doubt it'd get its fair share of bellyaching too.

There is a thread that people can post their ideas for the next game. I would not be surprised if Bioware employees have looked at that thread

50 playthroughts

Cool

And the Andromeda Galaxy isn't an actual place???

There's plenty of actual information on the Andromeda Galaxy to use.  I don't know where you're getting this idea they're just going to ignore all of the known planets and solar systems, like the KELT-1 system.  Also, the original trilogy made up more than its fair share of things too.

None documented to the point of being singled out and named, no.

True, I never said every place in the Shepard Trilogy was real. But Andromeda will have none since we don't have technology capable to cartograph it yet.

The KELT-1 system is in the constellation Andromeda, not the Andromeda galaxy.

No, not really. Yes the places we've been before may not show up again, but there is plenty of new places in the Milky Way galaxy that have not been used yet, and no reason why they couldn't.

I'm sure BioWare does listen to the fans. However people often also confuse "listens to fans" with "does everything we ask of them".

I also suspect that there will be plenty of things to feel nostalgic about, but that it will still be a new game within the Mass Effect universe.

BioWare listens.  Didn't also put out a survey via survey monkey a few years ago (maybe a year after ME3) in regards to what they would like in the next Mass Effect game?

Yeah, actually I do think they kind of listen. Just judging by the overcorrect syndrome they have.

But I'm not certain how they're listening. Are they actually reading stuff? Or mostly using some kind of program that tallies up the most often used words and phrases. I can't recall where I heard that they use that sort of thing as a part of data gathering. It was a dev or community manager person. Something like that.

It would, however, explain some over correction issues. You can get the data, but data does not give you the nuance of concerns. It's a more expedient way of gathering feedback, but it ultimately lacks proper context. So, I hope they don't rely on that kind of thing too much.

They do surprise me, though, sometimes. Sometimes they really do hear you.

As far as nostalgia goes...I understand. I really do. But also remember a time when ME/MW was brand new and an experience of discovery. That's what ME:A may be able to offer again.

I understand that may make it seem like a completely different IP, but tbh if it looks good, I'd buy it even without the ME name on it. I just want a good, "BW-style", space sci-fi game. The ME/MW setting is dear to me, as well. Going to Andromeda is not what I really wanted, but that's what it is. I'm willing to give it a chance. Remembering that ME/MW was once new, and really hoping that ME:A will become dear to me as well.

We'll see.

Bioware, look at witcher 3,It has no restrictions.

Except they restrict you to play a character instead of creating your own.

What do you mean by this?

Geralt is a defined character, I seem to remember people on here in open revolt over Hawke or Shepard being more defined in ME3.

People also frequently demand large parties which sucks up a huge chunk of the word budget. The Witcher games don't have this so they spend these resources elsewhere.

They DO listen. Shepard's clone fight on Citadel is a fine example on that, listening to feedback and criticisms about Kai Leng's fights, especially the last one.

There is plenty of stars and planets to visit in the Helius Cluster. Trust me on this.  Personally, I think there is too much emphasis on exploration and Mac Walters (I believe) tweeted the game is massive..

Look at the navigation menu in the teaser trailer at point 00:45. Notice how many stars have names on them?

Be prepared to explore/scout them.

And they'll all be fictional. That's the problem. The Helius Cluster isn't a real cluster. So all the places within that cluster will also be fictional, with no basis on actual places in our universe.

I'm pretty certain what Daisy is talking about is actual places that exist in the real universe.

The Helius cluster is, to my knowledge, made up by the BioWare team because we don't really know a whole lot about the Andromeda galaxy right now. Hell, we don't even know that much about our own.

If that's what you're playing Mass Effect for you should rethink your entertainment choices. I think you might want The Science Channel, not Mass(Magic) Effect.

The only places in the ME trilogy we ever visited that were real were the moon, earth and mars.
