I'd be disappointed and move on. I have enough maturity to know when something is out of my hands.

I guess people are figuring that out. What the moving on is. Start hating Bioware and never buy their games? Keep warning people about them and EA? Completely forgive and jump on ME:A hypetrain? It's bit dilemma, cause if we weren't fans of the game and series nobody of us wouldn't be here, but in other hand it's clear that the content makers don't care **** about us: they have continuously said how they even didn't want to do game for our platforms and then keep slapping us in the face with info about cutting us of- stopping support before it even began. Should I take DAI out of box and throw it to river or suck it up and play and recover PS3's system after every crash or keep being here cause I like the content they do, but still feel resentment towards them as company. At the moment I have chosen last one.

The steady march of progress. Old technology gets left behind as new, more powerful machines are developed. Is this your first time experiencing this? Did you expect companies to make games for your system forever?

How exactly did you miss the part where EA sold DAI on those old systems?

I expect that when a company makes a product for a platform, they support it as much as they support the other platforms.

It's a wicked burn, but I can accept that PS3 is shut out of future DLC and patches. I have friends who still love the game, and like discussing DAI. I'm always curious about new story.

I think the support in the future that next gen and PC users will get that last gen will not is only future DLC patches. At this point I would say its safe to assume that anything broken that hasn't already been fixed and isn't related to Descent, isn't going to be fixed for any of us.

I didn't get anything out of the last patch I think it was mostly multiplayer.

I stopped using multiplayer since there was some new agreement to be online via Bioware that has to be accepted upon before playing. I should go read it beyond the glance I gave it.

MP was fun.

I saw Mike Laidlaw falling all over himself on twitter apologizing for it. I'm not sure what you guys want exactly. How much more official do you want to get?

Can you cite those? I follow him on twitter and haven't seen anything like that. Nor from Mark Darrah despite claims that something he wrote was apologetic.

Lol? I haven't before experienced being dropped mid game, no. I have experienced having to buy new systems for new-gen games and upgrading, but not dropped like this. Makes me feel anxious on buying Bioware's product, I found that it isn't first time they dropped systems and they have been very into exclusivity deals lately.

We know that most devs don't come here anymore precisely because many fans here have shown an inability to deal with disappointment/anger in a calm and respectful way. DA2 and the ME3 ending have resulted in (that I've seen) calls for people to be fired, calls for Bioware to be sued and to go out of business, calls even for devs to be physically harmed (I saw comparisons between Bioware and cancer, Bioware and rape, and someone saying they were going to burn down Mac Walters' house, for example). They aren't paid to spend time on the forums, the devs have typically done this on their own time, so it's hardly a surprise when no-one wants to stick their neck out and make themselves a target for the collective rage of the BSN plus trolls who like to stir things up. The few who have spent a fair bit of time here have either left DA (David Gaider) or have basically gone because they got fed up of being insulted in their time off ... and these aren't the people who make the big decisions about such things either, but they are the people we rage at.

They changed their moderation policies after ME3 and the forum improved a lot, there were plenty of devs on here prior to launch, after the ME3 stuff. Much of teh criticism of DAI has been far milder than what happened with DA2 and ME3 and a lot of rancor has come from the sheer lack of responses. Basically it looks to me like they come here to hype content but they can't be bothered otherwise,

I think some dev already confirmed that isn't true, somewhere in the multiplayer thread where patch drop was supported. Personally I expect them to keep patching DAI since it still has lot of problems. Skyrim got patched 2 years on PS3, because it was broken when it was released (like DAI was as well, but difference is that it didn't get fixed).

I didn't miss it at all. I maintain that those people got what they paid for; a working game. Beyond that, you have no guarantees of anything. And of course someone will come along and say the game sucks on the older platforms and how they deserve more patch support or some such nonsense. I'll counter that if the game didn't work to their specifications, they had the option of returning it. There is no guarantee that Bioware will fix any existing bugs in any version of the game from this point on. They aren't terrible proficient on patching, from my experience with their previous games. Luckily, I have never had much issue with bugs or such.

I expect that when a company makes a product for a platform, they support it as much as they support the other platforms.

See above. When you purchase a game, you are not entitled to additional DLC content. Nor are you really entitled to partisan patch fixes. See Skyrim for the PS3 for more on that little gem. Bioware made an effort and now they will no longer be making that effort for older generation games. You received some DLC and some patching. I remember the days were you didn't get any patching at all on consoles. If your game was bugged, well tough. If you feel strongly about it, feel free to sell the game to Gamestop or some other such retailer.

I can -kinda- cite them, because Im on my phone it wont let me see all of his Aug. 5 tweets, but he speaks to a user several times apologizing on that day, and the user berates and harasses him to the point Mike had to block him. If you have a PC you might try to go back further but on my phone it only catches the tail end of the conversation. It is specifically Aug. 5 though so that should make it easy. I had to scroll through 500 pages of him going "Spoilers! " to find it. Lol.

No idea if this will work but here's a starting point, if you can follow the conversation line from here.

I might as well weigh in here.

I do feel duped because I figured that the only way to continue my saves from previous Dragon Age games was to buy the game on the PS3 because that was the version I started Dragon Age Origins on. Now I come to find out that I will not be able to access all of the content. This is especially stupid considering I haven't had time to even play the game yet. I was sort of giving a bit of time to get all the DLC and to play the game in its entirety. Well, I guess my wait is over then.

I can't really blame Bioware. I am sure this is simple a matter of money. However, I can say **** you Bioware. Thanks for the heads up chumps.

Hold on... What led you to think you needed to do this? Did you not know the Keep was a thing?

The Dragon Age Keep was announced on the Bioware blog 8/28/13, with a lot of press in the months before DAI's release. Bioware gave us plenty of heads up, you just weren't paying attention. :/

I personally feel no empathy at all because I know  this game could have been much greater but was held back by some luddites who refuse to let go of their 10 year old pieces of garbage.

Sure it's totally because they don't want to upgrade and not things like bills or not having money that forced them /s

It's comments like these that make me hope the next dlcs suck just to serve as a point that you people are entitled.

It's comments like these that make me stop sympathising with previous gen and slowly start to laugh at them. I'm actually being serious.

Arrogance and ignorance wrapped up in one neat package. How very efficient of you.

Another one who somehow missed that it was EA's decision on what platforms to release the game on.

Yeah, that? The ratio of comments like that to things like "you should be glad you got the game" or "you should upgrade, what did you expect" is approximately a million to one. Try being on the other side.

I tried seeing it from your point of view... it boggles my mind. There is only arguments made from emotional viewpoints over there, I need something logical as a basis.
