Recently I have come acroos a couple of things and I would like to know if any of you have experienced similar and how often. I play on a PC.

In game everything is going well, no lag and nice smooth play, whether I am host or not, a good connection. Suddenly the game just disappears. Origin is still there, but the game has completely gone. Now I thought at first that the problem was at my end, corrupt program or something. However, two other players have experienced this, one being a friend that I play with regularly. It has not happened tha often, about 4 times so far in about 40 to 50 games all within the last three days.

Now maybe this is just random or maybe possibly delibarate. I start a threatening public game on my own. No one joins until zone 5 then I get one player level 1 join and sometimes not until I finished the game and they appear on the "results" screen. A few times the name of the player is something like "PJ25544755". They then immediately leave having collected some xp for no effort.

 

I do not really mind as I am getting the xp and gold from the game, leechers do not bother me as long as they do not expect to be rezzed every 5 minutes. If I do not have any of my friends available I do a public rather than solo private as I quite like the company. I am just curious if this could be some sort of macro/hack that a player can tell when the final stages of zone 5 is happening and automatically join the game.

 

Any feedback?

If you ready up for a game in progress and it finishes before you enter it you will generally get xp. This has happened to me many times. Been a few times I didn't even leave lobby it just granted it to me coz I was ready. If it's happening in pugs it's random.

your first point (if you mean by "the game has completely gone" a crash to desktop) happens to me more often than usual... quite frustrating because it seems to happen out of nowhere (no lag, smooth gameplay - like you described and for me it happens on host and off host)

There are definitely more out of nowhere CTDs starting the last weekend (on and off host). I have experienced more silent crashes to desktop in the last 3-4 days than I had in the three months since I started playing MP. Even after repairing the game two times, the crashes persist.

 

(On a side note - did anyone else notice that if there is an Izzy in the party it almost always spells a game crash at some point? At least it does for me. )

It is so strange you should mention that.  I play Izzy quite a lot now because I have all rogues at 250. 

 

Thought people on my friends list were just dropping without saying goodbye, only to find them rejoin and tell me it was a CTD

 

My ISP is fine 45down/10up and this has only really gotten bad in the last 5 or 6 days with hosting as Izzy.

but now, that you mention it... the CTDs happened when there was an Izzy... weird

I've ctd with every class, pretty sure izzy isn't the culprit here....

I played maybe 15 pug games last night, and the only one that crashed was with someone's Izzy in it.

This started happening since the last weekend challenge went live. My Izzy caused CTD in a solo match, then in a pug, then solo. So she is retired for now...

 

Maybe it is just me - I have an Izzy curse or something .

(My ISP is good too 35down/10up, tested.)

#2 is kinda common.  I'm on XB1 and do see this happen from time to time.  I always host, and often will go ahead and start a session.  Players join in in vasious spots.  The other day I made it all the way to zone 5 before 1player joined, and shortly after two more joined.

#1 is very common. One of the larger complaints you will see around. As far as I know there is no fix. I just deal with it. It's a pain in the ass but they would rather put in new routing on maps than fix the problems everyone complains about all the time

Had a bug today on PS4, where whoever opened the door to the next door, rather than just teleporting everyone to the door, it placed people in front of the door and closed it behind us so we couldn't go back and use the fonts, think zone 5, except on every single zone, also as the door opened it switched to a first person view like the doors opening on a Resident Evil game.

 

Tried another match afterwards and it resumed as normal.

Interesting. How can they tell that you are near the end of a match? Or is it just random, or possibly continually joining and leaving until you find a match that is nearly over (jeez that must take ages).

I have been playing since the start of this year and apart from the CTD's and other glitches that we are all aware of, this particular one is new to me. No spinning wheel, no freeze, no lag, just suddenly I am looking at my desktop. My friends in teamspeak just say that I have disappeared.

that's not a bug, it's a new feature, if you experience it then it means that the game is radomixing the zones, apart from zone 5, check out this thread for full details: http://forum.bioware...es-begin-today/
