Will there be bounty hunting in ME:A?
I've always wanted to be a bounty hunter in space hunting people down in the deepest darkest corners of the galaxy dead or alive for some credits.
Bounty hunting could be a nice interesting side activity.

Its only a special week?

Do Bounty Hunters just party all day waiting for that special week? Never was a fan of 'timed' activities in games, myself.

They have a bounty week every month.

I don't think that bounty hunting would have much place in things, given the very concept - it's us going to the Andromeda galaxy, seemingly on a mission of colonization/exploration. Who has the authority to issue bounties out here? How would these bounties be tracked? It seems impractical at best for what we know of Andromeda right now.

Well since this is a new place even though we don't know much about it I'm guessing there are other groups out there who might not like what so and so is doing and what not. Getting someone taken out could help get another group some important resources

If we're alliance, which I bet we are -- there will be NO bounty hunting .

Some mercenaries group have reached Andromeda.
In the leaked survey some Krogan's ships have been stolen by mercenaries, so there are criminals in Andromeda.

More than likely, it'll be like the great frontier, complete with all sorts of bandits and space varmints.

The local sheriff will have wanted posters up. There will be bounties. I'll hop on my mecha-steed and go after them.

If I'm a bounty hunter I won't need squadmates. And even if there are I would not share the credits with them. They can get their own bounties

Which for me is a red flag that this is not a mass exodus to escape the Reapers...meaning colonies and communication has been established in Andromeda in some form at least.

As to the question of bounty hunting...id like to see it. The idea has always been a good one, and if they do something similar to The Old Republic and make it specific contracts and high level targets, i'm all for it.

Or make it like dragon hunting in Inquisition; the biggest badguys and creatures for a high-level boss fight.

The ICT, aka N7 is an alliance program (up until ME3, when they allowed other alien races to join).  So assuming N7 is apart of the alliance, it's safe to say we are in the alliance.

Do not know what you mean by "no shepard related," but my response to to that is respectfully, Shepard wasn't the only N7 graduate or alliance military personnel.

From what I understand, those other races were unofficial, as were the humans if I remember correctly.

I could see it being unofficial or "honorary."  They needed skilled and exceptional soldiers, and adding other alien species was very convenient...  Kinda like when Udina asked Ashley/Kaidan to become a spectre.

"N7 Special Ops" was just a nickname given to those units because they were initially led by N7's. The aliens (and possibly the non N7 humans) weren't actually graduates of N7 Program or really related to it at all.

Native Andromedan aliens can't have their own mercenary groups?

I just assumed that was what they were referring to. A "mercenary" would be a common theme for most intelligent civilizations, I would assume. Every civilization would need laws to function, and those that seek ways around those laws. Hiring someone to do your dirty work is one of the most tried and true methods of making it seem like your hands are clean.

uh.  N7 -IS- Alliance....lmao.

being n7/alliance ties it no more to shepard than being human does...since shepard was NOT the only n7 or alliance person in ME1-3.

not seeing your point..N7=Alliance=/=tied to Shepard.

Of course they can.

But why would they be identified as mercenaries. Mercenaries imply payment of some form involved in a military operation. If it is really natives fighting back, wouldn't they be soldiers then?

We're in a new galaxy and you want to hunt for bounties? How is that supposed to work? Who exactly would you hunt and who would place the bounty in the first place? Some strange aliens?
