I just don't want clunky horrible Mako controls.

Who needs a Mako when you can have a Combat Assault Shuttle with anti-grav plates that allows the shuttle to fly low over the terrain surface and lay down Death Incarnate when necessary?
I always did like to fly. ![]()

Unless you want less control over your team mates or yet another radial menu, there's not many button options open to Bioware, at least on consoles.

Is this game going to suffer from Awesome Button Disease? I hope not, mapping multiple vital functions to the one button was a bad decision that should be rectified in ME:A.
I don't think you're using that meme right.

Controls should consist of a single button (or the space bar). The game will then guess what you are trying to do based on context and your previous decisions.

And the consoles will bring us down again... ![]()
On a serious note...
Even if for whatever reason some functions have to be assigned to the same button an option where we can rebind it separately on PC is very welcome.
Some of us have gaming keyboards with extra keys and macro buttons, there's no need to map everything to E...

Ah yes, the PC master race. I prefer gaming from my couch with my feet up on an ottoman.

Use: E
Sprint: Left Shift
Jump: Space
Evade/roll: Mouse thumb button 1
Take cover: Mouse thumb button 2
Just as an idea.

I will throw a hissy fit if the pc version has no controller support.
I'm sure it will have controller support. Question is: Why would you choose a controller if you could have superior aim using a mouse?

It's a shooter. How difficult can it be? Use the scheme of Shepard's Trilogy. As for the Mako, the controls were fine, it's like a slower version of Unreal Tournament 2k4/3's vehicles, the problem was the feel of it.

Button combinations. Using buttons in combination (BioWare did this on PC with NWN) allows fewer buttons to do more things.Unless you want less control over your team mates or yet another radial menu, there's not many button options open to Bioware, at least on consoles.
Frankly, I'd be happy with menus. I don't need the game to work in real time. But real time options do exist.

Sprint&Take cover= Shift
Use= E
Dodge= Space Bar
Powermenu= left Control
The whole "Awsome Button Disease" didn't really bother me, I placed it to Shift & E and made it like ME1(Space Bar was powermenu).

What you press is more of a suggestion, really.

They could do it like this:
Sprint&Take cover= Shift
Use= E
Dodge= Space Bar
Powermenu= left Control

That wouldn't change much... main problem in ME3 is that your character goes into cover when you're trying to sprint. Let's say you're dodging a banshee and the game interprets that you want to stick to the wall instead... happens all the time.

How about you don't run towards banshee's? I have been instakilled quite a lot, but not because of buttonmapping. It was the lack of dodge as Krogan Warlord (Batarians and other Krogan know it too) that did it mostly, and he can't take cover either.That wouldn't change much... main problem in ME3 is that your character goes into cover when you're trying to sprint. Who said anything about running towards them? I don't get instakilled a lot but sometimes I die unnecessarily because the game stops me at inopportune moments. Instead of running through a door, the game makes me take cover there, for example.

As long as the controls are like the other ME games and not like DA:I, I'll be happy. (pc I mean ofc)

Although I see your point, a lot of pc gamers don't have thumb mouse buttons, and those that have it may have other things mapped at them. And it would be even less pleasent for console players.Who said anything about running towards them? I am sure something could be done with button combinations.
