Based on the feedback in this thread i am guessing not many use this pistol.

It's like anything else, it has it's niche, (2 shot Destroyer, anyone?) but it doesn't actually have a lot of utility unless your aim is amazing or you have an overload/stasis kit and can get easy headshots. imho.

I love this weapon. I'm currently using it on my vanilla human adept for platinum team games - a lot of fun and pretty effective. You could also try it on a flamer class to hide the reload.

I used to hate it but now I like it on the Huntress. The recoil is still a pain, though.

You don't need headshots on an Overload kit. You can kill almost any mook on the game with a OSK with a body shot once you strip their shields. I use it on the Human Engineer, and it works awesome. For mooks, you just Overload/Shoot, and they are dead if they aren't a possessed collector or a Geth Hunter (on Gold at least). For bosses, you just alternate between Overload and Incinerate to reload cancel every Executioner shot, which chains Fire Explosions and Tech Bursts.

The executioner is by far my favourite pistol. It´s a given on my Huntress and AA.

It seems like most of us like the gun but the best part is how it looks, and this girl certainly doesnt make it look any worse:)

I want to like it, but I find it a bit underwhelming. On xbox it seems to be a bit unreliable on the hit detection. Maybe it's just me, but I only tend to use it on the Asari Adept.

That's been my experience also. I've not tried it on PC, it may be an interesting experiment.

I like it on casters when I am looking for both power damage and an ammo power to combo with (cryo, disruptor, incendiary).
The (limited) innate piercing means I can usually skip using a piercing mod or ammo and use a power magnifier and heavy barrel or cranial trauma mod with a diverse range of ammo types.
On its own it's not as good as other pistols (Talon and Arc spring to mind), but it supports a slightly different play style. It's my favourite weapon on the Vorcha Hunter, if only for thematic reasons.

I absolutely hate it and use the paladin or saber instead
At least the paladin is a good pistol even though i have only used it in the single player campaign.. The saber isnt a pistol though!

I always use it on the Paladin with power magnifier / ext barrel .. I mean, it does execute things...so there's that.

Are you talking about the n7 paladin?

I recently tried it on the TGI and it was sweet with the reload cancel on tac cloak. This gun can be fun with reload canceling and one shot dropping everything.

It's a fun and satisfiying weapon, but I don't use it much apart from the challenge because the godlike quintessence of quarian perfection pistol does literally everything better and I feel dumb when not picking it. Maybe if I actually played vorcha or krogan kits I'd use it.
This is it, there always seem to be better options. Precise, reliable, solid hits without a charge time? Paladin. Cheesy headshots for a character with Stasis? Suppressor. All-round awesomeness? Arc Pistol.
And it's out-of-character for most of my characters; the best fit for it would probably be one of my krogan, so they've got something to kill sync units from a distance. But I don't play them very much.
All of which accounts for why I've not done the challenge for it despite recently finishing Pistol Mastery.
Also, there's something comically ludicrous about the "SPROING!" noise that it makes.

Charged Arc Pistol can one-headshot things. Here are some comparisons using my QFE's build, as she is a character I usually run with the Arc Pistol. I do not have either pistol at level X, but have specced them as such for comparison's sake:
Arc Pistol: http://kalence.drupa...!33852363!58A5G
Executioner: http://kalence.drupa...!33852363!58A5G
Using that build and consumables, an Arc Pistol X's charged shot does 1650 damage, versus 1864 damage from the Executioner X. 1650 damage is not quite enough to one-bodyshot anything beefier than a Husk on Gold, but you can one-headshot things if you aim carefully (which, in my case, requires a stagger power and a bit of luck; but if you watch YouTube videos by good players like TheTechnoTurian, you will see a near-unbroken sequence of repeated, accurate one-headshot dispatching of things with the Arc Pistol).
Because a charged shot from the Arc Pistol is implemented as three separate "bullets", there's a degree of shield-gate mitigation too.

I'm glad you mentioned the 2-shot destroyer. It removes the need for shield stripping for mooks and frees up whatever gun he's using as ol' painful to melt bosses. Particularly useful for keeping a PPR at full charge for full clip unloading when desirable.

I'd argue the executioner is better than the suppressor for stasis sniping unless you have found a groove for not over-damaging and breaking stasis.

Put it on the vorcha sentinel. Take it with power amp and heavy barrel. Protocol is shoot > flamer (hides reload) > shoot > cluster grenade. Rinse and repeat. Things die quickly.
