I am curious to see if anyone else is having a problem with save files vanishing?

My wife's save file with 4 hours of game time was gone this morning when we booted up the xbox. We use different gamertags and my save file was there and intact. HDD is connected ect. She did manually save as well as auto-save before stopping last night. Tried restarting system, signing in and out, removing and reinstalling HDD. Nothing worked. Cant think of any other possible reason it would vanish other than game side error.

If it has happened to any of you, have you found a way to maybe retrieve it?
