Boardwalk Empire had a lot of full-frontal penetrative scenes as well.
As long as BioWare doesn't go that far, I would hope that they're safe from too much persecution.
That's setting a really, really, low bar...

I think it's stupid you can explode Cerberus heads but you never hear the work F**K in the game, the same with watching someone F**K how can it be worse to see that than have a game where the main objective is to kill people who are trying to kill you?!?!

I just made a post in the "make andromeda more feminine thread" where I mentioned I was glad that this thread and it's partner had died, and now it's back on the first page.

You're right. It is stupid.
We shouldn't be able to explode heads either.

Never hear the word f***? Didn't James say it when fighting with Shepard on the Normandy? Aria says it in ME2. Jack says it a few times in ME2

Why's that? If anything, an organic target being hit with a particularly powerful weapon should be even messier, though thankfully, we can dismember the hell out of organic enemies with incendiary detonations. I love me some fire ammo.

Had forgot about that, maybe it's because I say all the time haha
Don't remember if James said it (I only play as Male and always beat him up) but yeah Aria and Jack.

I had left my browser open in that thread while taking care of some house work and didn't check the forum again before finishing up the post I had half finished. So, no one's fault but my own, I suppose.
No, I take that back. It's HSF's fault.

I'll second the more smut and innuendo.
And it needs smoking and drinking. Screw this political correctness about smoking and drinking. If I want my protagonist to light up a ****** (UK), he should be able to do it. "Morley" brand seems to be the most popular in movies. And if I want her to swill down a martini or a bottle of Stoli she should be able to do it. And what about doing drugs... I mean they had Hallex in the game, why not try it?
And on the ship.... shouldn't the ship have a still? No self-respecting ship is without a still making moonshine. Come on, Bioware. And with the miracles of science we might even be able to make good ol' hillbilly apple pie flavor.
And James got inked. Jack had ink. Why can't my protagonist get ink? I should be able to pick some patterns and get my ass tattooed if I want.

To be fair, the SR2 did have a bar; just needed Kasumi's dlc to get it in ME2, and it was standard in ME3. Also had a poker table.
It's a shame we couldn't actually sit down for a poker game. A poker minigame would be a good addition.
Also, if we're talking about what brand of cigarettes our protagonist should smoke, I'm rather partial to Red Apples.

One of the scenes for the Citadel DLC had Shepard getting a tattoo, but it was only for a Male Shep involved in a romance with Jack.

Well they would have to go with a "non-brand" brand, you know a fake brand... like Morley = Marlboro for example. They had implied smoking since there were ashtrays all over the place. Hollywood uses "Morley" as the stage prop.
And too bad we couldn't actually use the bar in ME3 to drink. Why couldn't Shepard tie one on in her cabin?
Tattoos. See? The guys get all the content. Yet another example of how femShep got screwed over.

Red Apple is a fake brand. Though it is unique to Terantino films.

Well to be fair, there are two f-bombs in ME3 (James and Random Jamoke Soldier #323) and not counting Jack, at least one I can recall in ME2 (Sidonis).
Still, ME could use more F-Bombs and more pc cursing. When Shepard tells off TIM in ME2's conclusion and on Cronos Station, that was badass.

How about we let the developers decide whether certain mature/explicit elements are needed for the sake of the story and leave it at that?

Posté 07 octobre 2015 - 07:15
They did it in DAI and I get the vibe DA has a much smaller fanbase and presumably less sales so presumably a smaller budgets (ASSUMPTIONS!) so I don't see why ME couldn't add bewbies despite it being more work. Yah know, if the devs decide it's necessary. Although if they think it's necessary to add a lesbian shower scene again I really do hope they do.

Honestly sex scenes are done for fan service, do not remove any. Nudity or partial nudity is up to bioware. Idem for the amount of romances (and about that sebastian in DA2 has the advantage to be the only romance with no love scene even though he always gave me the creeps, anyway). You know, I did not paycheck about the fact the sex scenes had partial or total nudity... I do care for how the feelings grow and love scenes and the ice on the cake. (Cassandras' romance in DA I is probably the most interesting of ME and DA series and Garus' ones in the different ME boring at all; could never finish because he just bother me.)

There are a lot of game with the option : "Blood : Yes/No"
So yeah, why not! It would not be difficult : only a fade to black when the romance get hot.

Well, as has been raised numerous times, it's not really that simple - blood might be something you can turn on and off easily enough, but scripting and cinematics are a bit more complicated and costly.
They'd have to take care not to have any exposition during the deed or the afterglow (or just get creative with camera angles). This is an issue with DAI, as there is quite a bit of romance relevant conversation during those scenes.
It's not impossible, of course, but since I'm not worried about Bioware being ridiculous (at least not THAT sort of ridiculous), I'd rather they not be constrained in any way.
