An Open Letter to Bioware Regarding Explicit Content

Well to be fair, there are two f-bombs in ME3 (James and Random Jamoke Soldier #323) and not counting Jack, at least one I can recall in ME2 (Sidonis).
Still, ME could use more F-Bombs and more pc cursing. When Shepard tells off TIM in ME2's conclusion and on Cronos Station, that was badass.
Yeah, I always do the Intimidate dialogue with TIM in ME3. I love when Shepard tells him "Bullsh**!" with that strong emphasis on bull.

There are a lot of game with the option : "Blood : Yes/No"
So yeah, why not! It would not be difficult : only a fade to black when the romance get hot.
<<<<<<<<<()>>>>>>>>>>
I say, if Bio bothers to have nude romantic scenes, be adults and go at it. Otherwise, just have post copulation shower scenes if nudity is mandatory.
Romance is so overrated.
If I buy this game it's because of the action, story and companion interactions, which, hopefully, is amusing and funny. And, let's not forget, proper keyboard controls for the game, few fetch quests and please no armour or weapon schematics as in that DAI crap.

Well, as has been raised numerous times, it's not really that simple - blood might be something you can turn on and off easily enough, but scripting and cinematics are a bit more complicated and costly.
They'd have to take care not to have any exposition during the deed or the afterglow (or just get creative with camera angles). This is an issue with DAI, as there is quite a bit of romance relevant conversation during those scenes.
It's not impossible, of course, but since I'm not worried about Bioware being ridiculous (at least not THAT sort of ridiculous), I'd rather they not be constrained in any way.
They don't have to be creative or use some special and complex effect : fade to black. Clock move to after the scene with the two person under a blanket if they have some script related to the story. The end.

Yeah, I'll sto biting the bait. After all, a topics like that probably happen each time Bioware made a new game.

Or players could just roll widdit.
In three posts, we've basically summed up the entire three month history of this thread.

Glad to see this discussion return.
Intriguing the fear a discussion can evoke. Reminiscent of any topic that challenges the status quo. To see users still cherishing ignorance by discouraging discussion and projecting their myopic view of the topic onto others is disheartening but there is hope in learning.

Probably he a heck of a lot cheaper to produce too.

If you're looking for a sort of "censorship" with less gore, nudity, and less naughty language, TURN OFF the gore setting in your options menu before you start the game and then skip over the romance cut scenes (although I don't recommend skipping them because they're amazing!!) and skip through dialog they may have naughty language (although I don't recommend this either because you may miss something important or hilarious!!) and, if none of these options appease your taste, there's always Elder Scrolls: Skyrim.. There you can marry some random NPC that has no personality or backstory whatsoever and the only "romance" option is for your significant other to ask if you're hungry and give you crap, a random NPC that goes on about "taking an arrow to the knee" and random NPC followers with no personality or backstory or funny banter to share.. Problem solved...Please do not censor perfection..The relationships and personalities within Bioware's companions and protagonists are what make this company unique and why it makes falling in love with Bioware games so special..#allthefeelsuh... Just sayin'... ![]()

There aren't that many.
This thread is mostly 110 pages of people disagreeing with the OP to varying degrees. That is part of the reason why the thread keeps going. If most people were in agreement it would have went maybe 4 or 5 pages before people got bored with the topic and moved on.

I want, I wish .... if dreams come true:
- Every Bioware game is rated OVER 18!
- I get a lot gore & blood!
- I get a lot sexuall content.
To be honest: I wish Bioware would make MORE, MORE, MORE gore, blood and sexuell content!
I'm female, over 40 years old and I really don't like it to play "little-fluffy-games". My children are playing children-games, BUT I want to play adult games with an adult content. I don't ant to play the same games like my little children ..... ![]()
I also like it to see action, fantasy and horror movies: Look at "Lord of the rings" - there is a lot gore, blood and even a bit sex in this movies. Why don't we have "movie level" in adult roleplaying games? Why are (especially) roleplaying games still something for "little 12 years old boys who are sitting in Mom's cellar"? (Sorry, no insult!!
)
Just my personal opinion. ![]()

Boy, what a surprise that video games and fiction in general are still in many ways immature when we have inane comments like this to advocate maturity on our behalf.

Playboy hasn't been a relevant source of T&A for a very, very long time.

Its just Bioware that prefers taking a somewhat more subtle approach and put those things in the codex or war table missions, we have those games but they're not many due to how few AAA western rpg makers there really are. There's Bethesda, Bioware, and CDPR, and not much more than that.
I expect much the same deal as I got out of Witcher 3 with Cyberpunk, that is, being a lot more in your face with gruesome themes, adopting the concept of "show, don't tell" almost to a fault.

So ... yes, I don't know a lot other PC RPG's. ![]()
I also play MMO's (SWToR at the moment ... PATCHING DAY TODAY!
) and so I have to make a decision what games I'm playing.

It's true, though: anything and everything someone might want to see is a few keystrokes and mouseclicks away, not behind a print-pub paywall. They don't need games for that.
