Believe I shall allow the Devs (ie; actual developers) to examine the possibility of the OP as mentioned by the one posting here, and allow them to see if a Toggle/ Option is viable.
Baker's dozen....
Do you believe the actual devs use a different kind of math? Cause the equation always gives the same result, no matter who does it. ![]()

And the reverse never occurs....
I readily admit trying to adhere to my beliefs, but this thread is about offering an OPTION to ALL Players; not only my personal POV.
This thread only asked for a toggle to avoid explicit content. The OP was fairly clear that they weren't asking for censorship.
This isn't the first time similar topics have come up on these boards over the years however, and the original post is the first one I've seen where someone asked for toggle. Previous threads created by other members have usually asked for self-censorship by the devs and a toned down sequel.
I do have a problem if those requests are religiously motivated, as it would be an attempt to impose that person's religious beliefs on others.

Toggles are a sin, so the OP asking for one is still wrong in every way possible. That aside, the only toggle button you need is the space bar/X/B buttons. No one makes you watch anything, and censoring out every swear isn't going to happen any time soon.

Well, as of DAI that's no longer true. You can't just skip scenes anymore.

We must have played different games, because I was definitely able to skip through everything in DA:I. Even after the "sex scenes," that's not what they are by the way as no sex is actually seen happening, even the conversations that involved nudity also involved close ups. Nothing ever had to be seen.

Really? Because I swear this scene where you have to pick dialogue has nudity in it.

Well that one nip-slip is worth a toggle then. That one romance scene with required contact with nudity, for one gender no less, deserves a censor. But given that is a romance about BDSM of all things, why are you(the general) complaining about nudity to begin with? Maybe you should reevaluate your priorities.

I was just pointing out that you saying it can always be avoided is inaccurate since like I said as of DAI there are scenes that involve the person having to see it in order to continue the scene, rather than just skipping the whole thing.

Given that ALL Romances are optional content, there's no toggle needed. You are NOT forced to romance anyone, and in fact it could be pretty much implied that romance is an adult and mature topic, not something for children and minors in the first place.

Well, there is also the woman who emerges from the Well of Sorrows. That's part of the main quest and she is nude. Just saying.

Yeah well, she's nude like the aliens in Cocoon are nude.
Anyways, Josephine is the easy way to avoid all this and have romance, since she's a never-nude. Embrace her rarity. There are only dozens of them

Ok, when we're counting the woman in the Well of Sorrows I think we've officially gone too far into over-sensitivity or technicality. Yes, she's technically nude, but her screen time is very brief, you can't see anything between the distance she's shot at and the water surrounding her, and there's nothing remotely sexual about the scene.
If we're getting offended by that, you're going out of your way to get offended by things.

The underlined isn't true, actually. You can see her nipples. Though maybe it depends on the screen.
I'm just being a messenger pointing out stuff is all. People are saying everything with nudity is optional when that's not the case.

I'll throw that out as another thing I didn't notice, but my screen isn't the best quality.
Still, that's the kind of thing that you could get away with in a PG-13 movie.

The funny thing about the Well of Sorrows scene is that you won't get to see it until the Inquisitor has hacked his or her way through countless mooks, leaving of a trail of bodies in their wake. If a person is bothered by a rather tame portrayal of nudity, but not all the portrayals of violence that come before it, they need to ask themselves why a naked body in its natural state is more 'sinful' than murder.

Huh? What woman?
In my playthrough there was only Morrigan and the spirit thingy that was probably Mythal.

One can freely choose not to play the game. DAI is a M rated game with darker themes - themes that are listed along with the rating. Perhaps people who do not wish to see such themes should find titles they are more comfortable with.

This.
It's a bit like paying to see an R rated movie in the theater, and then complaining about all the content that got it an R rating. Now that games are rated people have no one to blame but themselves if they are offended by mature content in an M rated game that they purchased. The label told you what to expect.

Think that's crazy? Right now on Youtube, there are at least two videos of a man - Pit Dernitz - being eaten alive by lions in front of his family(he got out of his car on a safari to film the lions while they were eating, having no concept of 'zoom'). Admittedly, there's some debate over the authenticity of the footage, but it's generally agreed to be legitimate. And again, to be fair, the footage is counted as mature content.
But still, Youtube is ok with allowing footage of a man being mauled to death by wild animals, but will take down any video showing nudity in short order.

So you might be offended by what motivates those asking for an option, in this case a Toggle? Considering religion is not discussed here on the forums, your bias may have to wait, or seemingly, envelop all who want such an option regardless. But that would be much like a Witch Hunt reaction; would not want that....

That choice actually does work for me currently. However, this thread is not about past games, but new ones being developed. And if said content is not restricted to Romances, then a request for a continued form of Option is being requested; one that myself and others support.

Am guessing that this offensive material was not enough for those using said argument to end the game there; simply say it is OK as well as other ESRB materials, and embrace it all.
And bodies vanish due to the Breach; no trail....
