As a consumer, I pursue what benefits my experience, not others. I don't have a responsibility to get you your language toggle.

You should probably read up on opportunity costs. It's part of the reason why your arguments are so lacking.

Possibly, but features are always new once. Have to start sometime, and a current study would help.

I know I am not using features included now; does not bother me to know that others have options. And as I am also a consumer, guess the difference is that I try to see beyond my own experience, and appreciate that others are achieving theirs, too.

Except you don't have enough demand for Bioware to be even interested in doing a study. Hence why you've had Bryan asking you to provide some support for the language toggle, which still has yet to happen. That was a pretty golden opportunity to build some actual support for your request.

You can try to frame this in the context of being a team player all you'd like. But there is nothing wrong with being selfish in regards to consumerism designed for entertainment, particularly with products that have a $60 price point attached. Trying to hide behind the claim of "it doesn't affect you" is still foolish according to any basic understanding of economics. I guess DA:I's zones don't affect anyone since they're mostly optional, despite taking up substantial resources.

Yeah i think swear filters are a level of ridiculous. Surely they have to get rid of the shooting too, maybe tranquilisers instead is what they want.

I would love if they had a way to use non-lethal weaponry. I loved how you could do that on Feros with the Anti-Thorian Gas grenade. It could open up quite a bit of roleplayability if they implemented it.

It ain't about being a team Player; simply realizing that a single game does not mean only a single Player buying one regardless of cost.

And accepting that I'm not the only person buying the game doesn't mean that I shouldn't try to push it in a direction that's beneficial to me. Hence why if someone says "I want a language toggle", I'll say "No, I'd rather more dialogue or better bug fixes". And given the number of people (and a Dev) you've had tell you they'd rather Bioware focus on other things, it would be more accurate to say that you're asking for a game tailored to a single player, not the other way around. Hence why people keep asking you to identify an observable market for this research.

Precision F-bombs. The language filters would prevent these as well...

Plus, a bit of sullen brooding.

"Just don't go in the thread anymore if you're going to let it get you all irritated," I said to myself. "What's the point of even reading it?" I asked myself. Clearly, I need to listen to myself more often.

Cause we all want to tell others our opinion or simply saying something.

On the other hand if all would stay quiet maybe the next BW game will be for people of the age of six ;)

Have glanced at a few other game forum topics on this subject, and they mostly go like this one. However, have also noticed that the subject is of interest on games, phones, and other forms of communication and entertainment.

So I shall continue to support this idea, and others like it even if the filter is not added to the next product. Maybe one day it will be.

Personally I don't believe a swear filter is feasible, and I'm iffy on it really being needed as of yet (Jack aside, Bioware does seem to be pretty good on not going too blue, language wise)

But options to tone down nudity and gore are, I think much more reasonable.   And doable.

Meaning that they're merely feasible, or that they should be done?

There is/ was another thread for that debate.

I almost never check out the Andromeda forum, so I wouldn't know, lol.

I have a question. Why do we not see any nudity in any comic TV show, which are normally shown around midday/afternoon?

Shows are supposed to be seen at particular times? How do they even know when we're streaming them?

That's part of determining if there is a market for it. When I say that, I mean that it's something that enough people want in the game that it becomes profitable and is something a good amount of your customers want.

You may personally not want the toggle over something else, but then somebody like Elhanan probably wouldn't want that something else over the toggle. Then I might not want either the toggle or your something else over a 3rd thing that I want. Who is to say which of the three should be added?

After the end of Mass Effect 3, I don't see how "artistic right" is even much of an argument around here. It's pretty obvious BioWare is willing to change their vision for the fans, and many of us had no problems when they did it then.

If you boiled it down to all 3 costing the same, then you'd assume it would come down to demand as well as vision.

I'd argue the vision didn't really change, just the exposition of it. If starbrat and his rainbow endings had been consigned to a trash can(oh how i would have loved that) somewhere then i'd agree with you. As things stand i still think they would have every right to go we don't want the vision of the game world whitewashed.

Sorry i didn´t thought of this option, but that´s not the point. Let it be simple.

I know that we're not going to agree on much when it comes to content filters (from experience over the last 80+ pages); however, in this instance, yes... of the three requested filters, profanity, nudity and gore, the profanity filter is (by far) the most amount of work - at least that much we can agree on :)

With gore though, how do you approach something like that corridor in the underbelly of the Citadel near the end of ME3 without lessening the impact? Or are you only referring to blood filters in combat (which basically have to be in place for some countries)?

In what way is that question relevant in the context of mature games?

You guys ... man :D ... thinking about streaming and asking around,

In what way is that question relevant in the context of mature games?

The answer is in your question. But I do not want to start a quizz here ;) ... so, cause these shows are made and placed for children or even adults who enjoy them, you do not complain about the missing nudity there, cause it´s ridiculous. It´s like a cut (filtered) version of 91/2 weeks.

No, the answer is not in my question and instead of giving an non-answer you could have simply explained your thoughts. I can not read your mind after all.

I did not read the full thread but yes, do not, I repeat, do not cut back on explicit content. Do your worst, Bioware, I'll guarantee that it'll still be just a small fraction of all the nasty, devious things I'd love to see in an rpg made for mature audience. Don't hold back. Check out what Witcher 3 did and take it to the next level.

While I strongly oppose this idea, I did wish to inform that this is not what the OP is talking about here. Believe it is asking for an option for all Players to skip/ omit that content if they desire, but it is written well enough; recommend reading it, at least.
