Assuming we have the original classes, likely morphed like they were from ME-ME3. What class are you going to play as? I always played as an infiltrator or an engineer. I liked the idea as an infiltrator going all Predator on a trooper's ass, appearing behind them "Hey, how you doing? *BLAM*". Then the engineer. In the games like Battlefield and the new Planetside 2, I love the thrill of repairing tanks in the heat of battle, laying mines, or hacking terminals. Exciting.

In the first ME, I didn't like the engineer as much, because you were stuck in light armor, couldn't use the other weapons properly, and were forced to use a pistol. Wasn't the same excitement... Then ME2 came and I gave Engineering another go, and I loved it. For fun I even nicknamed my combat-drone "Little Helper", before I knew Tali had Chikeeta. In ME3, I liked how in the Omega DLC my infiltrator was messing with this terminal, while getting taunted continuously, by Gen. Oleg. My engineer? *flick* One switch, done. Really hope in ME:A squadmates or cutscenes, react like they did in pass ME about your class. Anyways, I think I'll go as an engineer again, give my new CD (if we have it still) a new nickname. How about you guys?

My favorite class is soldier since I was one when I was in the military. Most likely my first playthrough will be as a soldier

Engineer I had the most fun playing

Adept I enjoy. I've done a few playthroughs not using my weapon at all

Vangard and Infiltrator were ok.

I have yet to do a playthrough as a Sentinel. I might one day

I have this big plan for my first character. He will be for sure infiltrator and I decided that way before I heard about Andromeda. But I think there will be no more restrictions about classes so I would welcome not only camouflage ability but also drone and maybe some biotic powers too? Also I want for my character to use mostly assault rifles.
In trilogy my main is soldier. Because it feels right for Shepard.

For second play through i will for sure take biotic for my female and later maybe vanguard for second male character.

In ME2-ME3, I used the M-96 Mattock scout rifle for my engineer. Sometimes I'd use a sniper rifle, deploy "Little Helper", have him chase out an enemy hiding behind cover, then head headshot. I have mixed feeling about no class restrictions but then again, it may be something I'll like.

VANGUARD! My renegade (and favorite) Shepard was a Vanguard, and I'm so glad I went out on a limb and chose that class (always played soldier before that). It's like being a battlemage. I just have so many different options to kill my enemies! It's delightful.

I'll probably stick with Soldier first go.

Always playing Vanguard and Infiltrator.

Vanguard, because I like Meeleeing.

Infiltrator because I suck at Shooting with anything else than a Sniper Rifle.

Well, I played badly as an engineer and vanguard and infiltrator.  So, if I get the game my first choices will be:

1. soldier

2. sentinel

3. adept

It's a mini-max game play.... minimise your risk and maximize your potential.

Started with Vanguard in ME1 stuck through it as it changed in ME2 and 3 so I expect that will be my first go. Vanguard plays so differently than any other class it creates a unique experience I like to marry to my initial play through.

Likely Vanguard on the first go-round. I'm partial to Biotics, so likely I will also play an Adept. Infiltrator and Engineer likely beyond that.

I did play a Vanguard for my 3rd character, I'll admit, I liked it too. Throwing Eclipse mercs off Nassana's tower with push, in ME2. Dashing, followed up a with Nova Slam, in ME3. Still, enjoyed the engineer. Thanks for all your replies and keeping it civil. Please continue your posting.

Soldier, Vanguard, Engineer.

kind a wish the soldier/engineer combo was more beefy. like a demolitions expert kind of thing. why stealth when you can blow **** up.

Depends. I like the idea of Infiltrator most ( combination of firepower and tech skills) and like it most in ME1, but the stupid bullet time slowdown crap killed it for me in ME2 and 3 to the point where I enjoyed playing weapon platform Engineer more (and Adrenaline Rush-less Soldier in ME3 singleplayer).

Don't care for biotics so probably won't get to any kit that has them for several playthroughs (if at all).

The combo classes are fun but I really enjoy the Soldier, Engineer, and Adept classes the most. Adept especially since it was just flinging people everywhere.

I've played every class but sentinel...  My favorites are Infiltrator and Engineer.

I'll probably do Infil first, then Engineer second.  I hope that there isn't weapon restrictions so I can use the Black Widow with my Engi, and I've named my combat drone "Grim Death," after my first toon in WoW (Ret Paladin).

Depends on what they add to each class. If they keep Engineer fundamentally the same from ME3 then I'll choose that one definitely. That means access to the 3 elemental abilities and the two drones that are hopefully as deadly as ME3 and not nerfed. If they add new classes, like my forever hoped Omni-warrior melee class then I'll try that one out during the tutorial, because I'll inevitably try out all classes in the tutorial as I keep remaking my character.

If Infiltrator actually has a stealth purpose outside combat, and has access to electric slash then I'll be tempted to go that way. If Vanguard class has synergy with the jetpack then it's a done deal. I would love to jetpack and vanguard charge at the same time for crazy distance, or using nova after reaching the height of my jump and unleashing a giant shockwave.

I definitely won't pick Soldier, Adept or Sentinal though. I've never liked Biotics in ME2 and ME3 for some reason outside the vanguard combat ones, along with throw. Sentinal is just boring. Imo it gets the most boring powers from the other classes, but I tend to be more flash over practicality anyway. Soldier is self explanatory, since what makes ME's gameplay far and beyond the best of any TPS is its synergy with guns and powers.

I can't wait for 90% of players to choose the Soldier class again, and then a portion of them coming to message boards to complain about Mass Effect becoming even less RPG like they've been complaining since the second game =P

My standard first characters are a male Infiltrator and female Vanguard, so I'll probably go with one of those to start.

Though I'll likely end up creating one of each class.

2 Vanguards, then a soldier or an Infiltrator.

You cannot have enough Vanguards in a lifetime.

I will take the tankiest one. Being a noob and being squishy is a bad combo. Loved sentinel in ME3, tanky, combos with overload, warp and throw made it just epic(and quite easy).

Probably Adept then Vanguard then Sentinel then the others. But if the campaign pacing is a bit slow for me (like DAI) I might just stick mainly to MPer where I will play everything, even any Volus.

Infiltrator, Adapt, or Sentinel... one of those three.
