I watched some of this is (enjoyed it) One thing I keep hearing is how fast the loading is on PS4. I'm not really seeing that. Of course it seems fast, but not by a massive amount.

Having not played DAIMP on PS3, I can't really compare.
But it's a hell of a lot faster loading than ME3MP was on PS3. Holy hell, that was ridonkulous.

Fairly uninspired commentary. You can hear the fatigue of over-DAIMPing kicking in, the grind of streaming daily. Which would have been fairly easy to overcome had it not been a sh*tty session as well. But the hour started with attempting to join a game-in-progress crashing straight to the PS4 main screen (and killing the livestream's original attempt). Then a Perilous match goes sideways, I end up still not enjoying playing the Archer, I have to mute my mic several times because my husband kept wanting to wander by and ask me random questions (totally not distracting at all), and I just sort of grind out a quick Threatening to get enough money to buy yet another Chest of Disappointment... trolled with no purples at all for the second day in a row.
Sorry, SporkFu. It was just as un-fun for me as it was for you, trust me.

Perhaps, limit yourself to only one chest a day, and if your normal gaming gives you more gold, save it for the days where the "great responsibility" of opening the chest is all you can muster the enthusiasm for. I think I can safely say that the last thing any of us want is for you to lose your sense of enjoyment 'playing' the game. I certainly would NOT want it to be a chore.

Meanwhile, good advice from everyone in the thread. I think I'm putting too much pressure on myself to chatter and be an entertaining host while livestreaming, but trying to keep that up every single day is... draining. It'd be like hosting a dinner party every day; at some point, you kinda get sick of thinking you gotta entertain all these people. I'm not a famous YouTuber for good reason!
Will just chatter when in the mood, but otherwise the original purpose of the streams was to simply document the chest openings, so I'mma go back to that and just stream me playing as if I were not actually hosting a channel at all.

I would caution against picking any October dates between the 17th and the 25th. I say this because October 20th is our 8th wedding anniversary and we're taking the week off work (plus we have the weekend before and after that week off anyway because it's the weekend).
We don't currently have any plans to travel anywhere, but that could change. If we don't go anywhere, then we'll both likely be gaming everyday anyway.
So, pick at your own risk.

just a thought on this, but I think the fact that you have to play everyday is a bit ridiculous. Part of the gamble you are taking on this is that you don't know if you will even have a chance to game or feel like it on the day in question.

Well, technically the rule is currently to open a minimum of one chest per day. I agreed to that up front early in the competition. In theory, I could play long enough to acquire gold to last a few days, then do nothing on those days except a 5-minute stream of me opening one chest.
I just currently don't have a stockpile of gold, so I am having to play a few matches a night to get to that 2,000 for the one chest per day. Gonna start saving some of the weekend cash for the weekdays, though.
But I would feel bad if I just went "meh, not gonna do it today" and screw someone's chance over. The "one chest a day" rule was in effect when most of the people started picking dates, after all.
