I learned a little trick not long ago that you could hold down a key while placing placeables and they'd snap to the top of another placeable, but now I cannot remember the key. Example, you have a table placed. You have a plate of food placeable on your mouse and holding down a key causes the plate to go on surface of table.

What was that key?

That's "s" for stackable.  But it's a toggle, not something to hold down.
