It would give us more freedom to explore alien worlds/trade hubs and you can still have pargon choices while being able to give more harsh renegade. And maybe we could have face tattoos then? Lol please Bioware give us more freedom to do what we want in your games.
Can we be a Bounty Hunter working for the law?

And as much as I like bounty hunters I don't see how it fits with the Ark council and being an N7

And where did you get that information? A bounty hunter would still be better

If they went this route, I'd see us more likely being freelancers than bounty hunters.

Freelancing sounds pretty nice.. It's what I did in Mass Effect 1&2 with my awesome renegade.

Naw you can't be a bounty hunter and work for the law at the same time. To be a bounty hunter you have to be willing to get your hands dirty and break some laws to get the job done. The only way it could work for a paragon bounty hunter would be to keep the target alive maybe and not use excessive force. Or maybe decline some bounties don't go after the guy with a wife and kids instead go after the space pirate who has the death sentence on 12 systems!!!
That's not true, actually. History is full of governments hiring bounty hunters and using them as an extension of their law enforcement. Even today the United States government for example allows and uses bounty hunters. Not nearly to the extent governments in the past used them, but the law and bounty hunters still work as comrades.

Wow, there is a lot of laws behind being a bounty hunter. Most of them are trying to collect money for those that skip bail, something I can see happening even on a big space station:
https://en.wikipedia...U.S._and_Canada
It can vary between a few states, and Canada doesn't allow it at all. There's plenty of evidence that there is legal bounty hunting in the US at least.
I think too many people think of Zaeed and Boba Fett when they think of a bounty hunter (no offense OP.) ![]()

To be fair, the bounty hunters of the past did act more like Boba and Zaeed. Then ethics and human rights got involved.

I think Lobo when I hear bounty hunter. Well the old badass lobo, not the new f*cked one.

But Zaeed is a mercenary, not a bounty hunter.

When we find him, he is serving as a bounty hunter though. He corners a Batarian and goes to turn him in for the bounty before meeting us on our ship.

Good catch, but I've seen some folks call Zaeed a bounty hunter too. ![]()
Lobo is pretty crazy, so he's among the comic protagonists that I don't think is really anything except what he wants to be at that moment.

Yeah, Zaeed did bounty work as well as general mercenary work. The two aren't terribly far away from each other.
I'm for this idea. Not entirely sure how it fits with the ARK program, working under the assumption that theory holds, but as far as I know it's been stated/suggested that we aren't N7, or at the very least the N7 in the trailer isn't us.

Bounty hunters are quickly becoming cliché. After Boba Fett everyone wanted to be a bounty hunter. I still think that working with a political agenda is better.

Now a imposter who doesn't sell comics killed him and is ruining his name.

Why not both? A bounty hunter working for a politician with an agenda?

That sounds like a good idea. It kinds of recall good old memories when HK47 was telling how it worked for a politicians of the Republic and carried out assassinations for him. That would be fun...but the scope of this ME is establishing colonies and explore the unknown galaxy which is what I really want from a ME.

Blaphemy!
ehh I wish the films fleshed out his personality more. The way they made him die in Return of the Jedi was so silly.

I figure at this point that it isn't going to happen for ME:A. The game is in Alpha and it's safe to say that they probably have the PC concept nailed down to their satisfaction. I also suspect that we're gearing up for another trilogy with a customizable human PC with a set surname. That being said, I think this is a cool idea down the road, at least for a squad mate. It would be nice to see someone more like, say, Bailey as a potential squad mate for later game as a bounty hunter. It would be a nice change of pace over someone like the Fetts or Zaeed.

Mainly I just liked Jango's actor. Temuera Morrison is a stone cold badass.
