But how can I see how many items and stuff I've looted? I don't want to put in the effort of trying nightmare if I don't meet the minimum requirement for Hakkon weapons. I've played over 200 hours if that helps.

Supposedly that is something currently being worked on.

go to challenges > General > Wealth. If you've collected over 250K gold in total and spent it all on the old large chests or the new 1000 or 2000g chests you're pretty much there.

So at 250k spent gold do you have an increased chance at Hakkon weapons dropping from bought chests? Or are they in fact not in the drop pool whatsoever until you hit 250k?

Hakkon Weapons don't drop from chests... only Dragon kills on NM and HB

And yes, you'll have to have met the minimum requirement of 800 items collected for a chance of the Dragon dropping them.
Items are 250 each and you would get an avg of 2 per run if you open most doors.
150k should do it. At 200k you'll have no worries.
Except making it to the Dragon that is
