I don't care if it's possible lore-wise ... I now, officially, want a Varren Companion in MEA - like the Mabari Warhound in Dragon Age!

I'm sick and got yard work ahead of me come sunrise, so I'm gonna be lazy and copy/paste my response from another thread:
Okay, the thought of a varren doing little doggy "fetch" quests is one of the most adorable ideas I've read over the last few days. Heck, they are very trainable. They could bring back a few key parts for side quests for something like that. It would also be fun to see the squad interact with one. ![]()
Yes to that, or something different.
http://v4m2c4.devian...am-Os-398610838 in this one, not so big of course (or we would need a cruiser)

More things to do with it beyond, not like the robot dog in the shuttle bay (just talk to it)
Nice! But then again, we can get D.O.G
The Robotic Dog we had available with ME3's Collectors Edition...
But honestly, IDK how. Only if you have, like, a colony or something. Varren or any other animal in confined spaces(the Ship) or doing space travels, uh... Isn't a good idea.

Stop toying with my imagination, please. Me2, remember?..
Bah, I didn't like the robotic dog at all (although I did like that the the model serial number was K-9
)
I replaced the robodog with Urz, Shepard's most steadfast companion.
I think we might see Varren in Andromeda as well. The Krogan are sure to bring some and once they get there, they'll probably bread like rabbits in Australia.

And scale scratch.
Its power could be charge that knocks over the baddies
And if you keep him/her in your quarters you have to pay attention and let them into the cargo bay to do their business (make a dump and pee) otherwise you'll come back to a gift in your quarters and a guilty look.
Make them have random personality quirks... like separation anxiety where they rip up stuff in you quarters if you don't take them on your mission, or go around the wardroom begging for table scraps (well that should be more normal),
And no matter what they did, they give you a look that you can't resist. "Who's a good varren?"
Must be a cat guy.

That thing was a bloody let-down :|
Admit it, everyone would like a pet Varren companion, done properly like the Mabari Warhound, even if there are erm... logistical problems...

... and they're great with (Krogan) kids too!

How could you not want one?!

Great Idea.
They could find missing or hidden items that you would of otherwise not found.
Weapon/armor parts, buried technology, creds...., or missing files leading to hidden worlds..., the possibitlities are endless.
Cheers
I'm all for it. Make it a summon like the Mabari from Dragon Age 2, over a full-fledged companion though.
Unless you make it like the Mabari in Origins in some form, but don't let it take up a squadmate slot.
"Looks like Urz finally found someone to follow around. . ."
(Urz isn't added to the party. ;_; )
