ok so... right now there are a lot of high stat individuals out there and more seem to be crossing the threshold of SUPER MEGA AWESOMENESS everyday. And as they  pass one thing becomes , more and more clear with each promotion. What use does cunning have after 200.... .

 

the sad sad truth is it seems there's nothing..... after you cap out at 200 cunning what use is it to play a rouge as it just seems like a useless promote...

 

What I was thinking was, if after 200 promotions in cunning, that you started to gain crit damage 1/4%(0.25) for every point of cunning.. this way theres a reason to play the rouges after you get 100% crit chance.....

Edit: to respond to those who think this is about me.. it is not a bout me.....(although ....ME ME ME ME ME ME...>.>)

 

ok I was not talking just about me.... this isn't a bid for more power (although Muhahahahaahah) its just alot of players right now are getting very strong, (##Caught## because of bug) and it would be cool to have  use for more cunning, I mean they can just re-balance the strength of the higher difficulty enemies, this would also keep game progression in cheak, as it would make it harder for "newbs" to leech in higher difficulties as they would get SPLATTERED all over the place.....

they should give you a new snarky comeback line to the enemy conversations for every 25 cunning over 200 that you get.

I have 200 cunning and as much as that would benefit me I'd have to say it's probably not a good idea to give more bonus crit dmg.  It's wrecking enemies already as it is.

Since the other stats are open ended I see no reason why cunning should be hard capped. I agree with Medallion.

Why don't they just switch Cunning and Dexterity. Dex giving crit chance, and Cunning giving crit damage.

 

There are a disproportionate number of skills and kits that become blatantly overpowered as your crit chance climbs.

Having thought more about it, 0.25 increase per point 201 onward wouldn't make a tremendous impact.  It would take another 400 Cunning (600 Total) just to double your crit damage.

 

I guess I can get behind this.

while in truth I'd have to agree with you on that the kits do become some what op as crit chance climbs I will also like to point out in nightmare and above as well as for hokkon weapons crit chance is  a inescapable must......

yeah its not to make you hella op of rip but to give you something to work for on the cunning side... with a benefit... 50 static crit damage is a freaken lot end game wise

I stand behind this, sounds like a good idea. Have it give Dex (1% crit dmg/pt) after 200 might be too powerful but 0.25% really wont break the bank.

1% good god...man.. even my lust for power wont let me suggest that man...lol

 

but 1% would be freaken to OP for the game remember you will have 100% crit chance already and the crit damage will work some what like willpower after that point.. I say 0.25% because of this interaction

I fully support this!

 

Eventually more and more people will reach the 200 cunning mark and then feel rogue promotes as useless. So for the longevity of the game this need a fix. I know a handful of people that have reached the 200 cunning mark, and I am maybe only 25-30 points short myself. 

 

As others have said, anything beyond 0.25%/point would definitely be too OP.

I would imagine that a very small percentage of the player base will ever get to 200 and I could see implementing this being a coding nightmare that would likely have quite a few bugs associated with it.   

 

Those with that level of promotions do not need any more power than they already have.  How much fun would it actually be to one-shot everything on NM?  Games need to have at least some challenge in them, right?

Also, Why does it matter at that point, you can just sit back and promote any other character, this seams like a solution to a non existent issue really

I agree with you to a point.... but having end game content and things that are extreme to get will keep people playing thus having more long term players there for slowly increasing the player base and yes even at my lvl of stats there are still things that are challenging, the devs are doing a great job with the balancing

For me the best reward from having 200 cunning is now I don't need to promote rogues anymore and have all of them at lvl20.
