But that's the point, I'm not arguing about min/max bullshit, or deeps, or necessarily even efficiencies.
The reason my Claymoar is my favorite, is b/c of the whole package. When I run up on an enemy, *insert random power here*, then hear the unmistakable, roaring boom of the Claymoar, then watch the head pop and the bloodletting commence, how, how can you not worship at the High Lord's almighty altar?

b/c I love both those guns - Wraith and Venom. Simple.
See this is my thing. Its just a game. An old game. If people want to publicly express their dislike for venom and wraith then let them. Its not a personal attack on you and those that like those weapons I hope you can realize this. So take a chill pillb/c I like both those guns - Wraith and Venom. Simple.

That would require the Wraith to stop sounding like a tincan being kicked down the sidewalk and the Venom to start requiring one to aim, so I wouldn't bet on it.......not that I'd want the displays of infidel salt which result from stating the obvious Truth to stop anyway.
All shotguns in ME3 are trash can worthy:
Wraith - Doesn't sound like Claymore
Claymore - Weighs more than a garbage truck
Raider - Horrible accuracy
Geth Plasma Shotgun - No penetration and no headshot
Graal - Looks ugly
Crusader - Too accurate for its own good
Venom - Not a shotgun, its a freaking grenade launcher
Piranha - Not as good as it used to be
Reegar - Extremely short range
Disciple - Feels like a toy

If you like the claymore, then you are going to hate the venom, lol. The venom is most effective in the hands of a well trained troll who has perfected the art of shooting the enemy in the feet. Now if it caused enemies to explode in a spectacularly gory fashion, a la the scorpion, I would probably enjoy using it a bit more.
Anyways, i digress - my vote goes to the Raider for most fun to use weapon. I do like the claymore, but its obnoxiously long reload time is beyond irritating - you spend more time in the reload animation than you do shooting the damn thing.

Well, the majority of those trash can weapons are much more satisfying to use than pistols and smgs (with the exception of executioner and punisher). For me, the most irritating aspect of this game is fact that pistols (talon, arc, acolyte) are somewhat superior in effectiveness to the other weapons classes, while also being lighter. This should not be the case.

Raider is a great weapon. Booms and makes chunks like a Claymoar. However, its reload time is exactly the same as the High Lord's (oh ok, it is .01 of a second faster, whatever), so why would you find the latter objectionable and the former not?

I'd have to test it, but it seems to me that the reload cancel time of the Raider is much faster.
It's 1.04 vs 1.03 seconds for the actual animation, but that doesn't include the ROF calculation which would push Claymoar up to 2.1 and Raider only to 1.36 before any ROF boosting powers.

That makes a bit more sense, thanks for posting. I just performed a quick empirical test to verify - see below.
Summary: For Science. Note that the first Raider shot is fired after the first Claymore shot, and that the Raider is firing two shots to the Claymore's one. Yet, the Raider is still able to expend clips significantly faster. (expends 7 clips in the time it takes the Claymore to expend 6).

I'd Katana no problem on Silver or Bronze, but the Scimitar is a big bag of shite that I would not give to someone I do not like
