Hi im thinking that this new mass effect game could use voice activated weapons via mic/headset,
In mass effect 3 when we choose ammo type ie cryo, fire, armoured piercing etc we had to do it manually this is all good and still could be used, But with the choice to say via (microphone head set) the type of ammo we want on our weapons?
Eg,,
While in game we could (say) cryo ammo) over our head set and our weapon will use cryo ammo and use this for every kind of ammo on every weapon i think this would be insane and make a more realistic feeling in game, but still keep none voice command as in manual ammo choice.

No.  It's not a bad idea, but doubt we'll see this in the game.

First I imagined giving voice commands to actually fire the gun.

Then I imagined trying to fire the Reegar Carbine using that.

Gameplay wise I don't see it having much use so I don't think it'll show up.

Giving commands to squadmates using a headset... Maybe, but I don't see it being revolutionary or improving the game play.  ME3 Xbox 360 had "better with kinect," not too many people used that feature.

Well, the problem with using Kinect for voice commands is that you're using the Kinect.

Is that from the old Judge Dredd movie, or the new one? I've only seen the new Dredd movie and I don't remember ever seeing him in that particular costume. His costume in the new Dredd movie was a lot more streamlined.

Original. It's Sylvester Stallone's, Judge J. Dredd. I've yet to see remake.

Do it. It's far better than the old One.

You're right - ammo takes up some time and freezes battle, but if we could talk the battle would keep going without too long a pause. It's very futuristic and definitely makes a match for the Mass Effect universe. I support it. As long as it's not hard to make, of course

I'd be down for the PC to do this, Dredd style.

Sounds like gimmicky bullshit for the player to do so though. I'd rather they focus on something else.

A voice command to switch to Cryo Ammo sounds almost as useless as Cryo Ammo itself.

Your'e asking Bio to come up from a controller-centric studio to a leading tech game studio? Shocking, I say!

Mind, I love the idea.

Elite:Dangerous supports three screens, voice commands, A headset camera for screen/menu selection, keyboard, mouse, HOTAS joysticks. Best rig I know (I have the game and I'm looking forward to Star Citizen).

It really is a good jump into the 21st century gaming experience.

It sounds cool until you think of the problems. In universe battles are pretty loud so you could sat there talking and eventually shouting to your gun to it would do something, or even having it do stuff when you dont want to because it heard something or someone else shouting to his gun. If it was quiet enough that your gun can hear you clearly then there is a hih chance that your enemies know you are using cryo ammo.

and it's not like those kind of problems can't happen to the player if someone walks into the room or you have noisy neighbours. Voice controled guns just feel too gimmicky and problematic for what it's worth.

How would that work in multiplayer? Will you have to interrupt people just because you want to change ammo? Is your character going to do something just because you used the wrong word in conversation? ^^

Personally I think such a feature would be far too slow compared to doing it manually.

I did ^-^, last night infact. It wasn't bad. I like Karl Urban anyways and "Cersi Lannester" is in it. Wouldn't mind a Sequel, though sounds likely to either never happen, or not for awhile.

If they allow for ammo switching in MP and tie it to voice commands, when I run into people who have open mics and speakers I'm going to yell "Cryo Ammo" every 5 seconds.
