I am replaying ME1 (close to finish) in prep for ME2.  I played ME1 a while ago but lost the save.  When I played it the first time I played from disc.  This time I am playing ME1 of the HDD on the 360.  I am seeing significant drops in fps during intense fire fights this time through.  I also see fps drop when on planets with graphically intense environments (blizzard worlds).  Firstly, has anyone else experienced this same problem with playing ME1 from HDD and disc?

Secondly, and more importantly, has anyone tried playing ME2 from both the disc and HDD?  If so, are their noticeable differences (both good and bad)?

How bad is the FPS? Like unplayable or like 30 fps from like environmental effects?

Environmental effects FPS drop is playable, very small.  The FPS drop in the heavy combat though is unplayable to the point of screen freeze for 1-2 seconds.  Most notable combat FPS drops so far in ME1 is the Thorian battle on Feros when you are blowing off its limbs.  When lots of the zombied civs rush me, it got quite bad. Again, I do NOT remember this on my first ME1 playthrough (disc) which is why I suspect playing from HDD caused this, somehow.  Reason for posting in this forum was to see if anyone noticed it with ME2.
