So I just started Dragon Age: Inquisition on PS4, and am quite enjoying myself. While the menus can be a bit unwieldy to navigate (not being able to use the directional pad to move around them often momentarily confuses me, as that's muscle memory at this point), it's mostly a positive experience.
But the utter lack of use of the right directional pad as a shortcut just seems remiss. It seems obvious that it should be mapped to open something, probably character inventory. Left on the directional pad is currently mapped to, well, the map, so why not map right to something? I seem to be fiddling about in the map and inventory the most, so the latter seems like a good option for it. Even better, why not allow users to choose what it maps to?
I truly hope this gets done, as this simple addition would really improve the user-experience, and would make a great game even better.
