sedentary lifestyle was a very vague concept to me until that roommate in college.

 

i like to cave up in my man cave like any gamer and cave it up for some hardcore gaming sessions, but I make sure I shave my neck weekly and trim my beard every couple months. and you know, shower and wash my grundle and stuff. and change my underwear when I remember to. 

 

since i have the added curse status of a married productive member of society i have to go to work and pay taxes and spend time with my wife, and do manly stuff like chainsaw trees and plant plants and fix broken stuff and change the car oil and stuff.

 

 

secretly though in my heart i'm that college kid with 3 week old ramen noodles staining his shirt and yellowy underwear and beanbag seat sores.

even glitched, 14 promotions a day still comes out to 8-10 hours of solid gameplay. At a very minimum it would be 7 hours, maybe if they are gods 6 1/2 hours.

3 Promotions an hour sounds very realistic for most people though. Not possible in pugs anyway and hard to keep up in high promoted groups with friends, since you need a good setup for every match plus no afk times counted.

You can still come back ruggie.  You have a place with us....of course with so many of us playing it might be hard to find a group with an opening, but you can try.  At least it won't feel like a job and you will have fun. Real fun, with wins and jokes and hakkon weapons and everything!

Swype to text and not checking is why I type special. What ever happened to everyone taking over the ps4 it did you all realize they been cheating longer. Lol not to mention you can play 2 games in the time it takes to play 1 on the 3. The loads are to fast I can't even pack a bowl while it loads.

First and foremost its where everybody is.  IMO its the people you play with that really make the game...especially after you've been playing it months and months.  I love these guys and girls. It's still going to happen.  I think the more the reality set in of how dirty they really did us the more people were seeing they weren't going to be strong armed.  When they actually say "Hey here is the new content and its coming out next week."  Most of the migration will happen.  I was kind of shocked to hear some people lose that pumped up feeling they had about getting PS4.  When they are missing out on "the stuff in the patch" they will get it back and come over I figure.

 

The more I learn about PS4 them more I'm just like...."what?"  I can't believe theres no blueray support for headsets.  What is that even?  I had one in my cart on Amazon with a used copy of DAI and the HD I'm going to put in it.....I stopped for a minute and started researching a bit and wanted it less and less.  I've said before I have little to no interest in its library of games.  Witcher 3 looks like it would be fun, but I don't think it has MP and I really don't care to enter a series on the third installment.

 

MGSV is coming though and that will amp me up.  FF VII Remake and Last of Us 2?  It's on.  I'll also buy ME: A (used)

 

I'm sure PS4 has a TON of awesome people, but I don't know them yet.  I know this crew and I wouldn't trade them.

 

And don't sit there and try to lie to me talkin about "I can play 2 games in the time it takes to play 1 on PS3"  I've been reading your stuff.  You can't even beat NM over there HAHAHAH!  How you gonna talk to me about playing the game and you can't even win?  Now you know I'm the reason you even have all those Hakkon weapons fool.  BTW King got his 250 on NM last night

 

I was pretty shocked you jumped like you did.  But you told me flat out "I'm out"  What do I say to that?  If your mind is made up I respect that.  You just went too early bro. I think the patch announcement will be in a week or 2 though.

I just found out you made the jump to the 4 yesterday ruggie. I miss yas already. Like Next had said, it kinda slowed me down making the jump to "light speed" after I did a little checking on what the 4 dose and dosen't support. I think alot of us are looking that way though.

In a lot of ways, the 4 is not any better than the 3. I will never, ever, ever understand why it doesn't support bluetooth mics that aren't full-on freaking headsets or why they said that would eventually be patched in and still hasn't, that I'm aware of. The library is still not impressive either. I got Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag (which was fun, but didn't suck me in) and Thief (which I didn't play much after the first hour) to play while I waited for DAI to drop (the reason I even got a 4). Since then, I've only added DAI and ESO and that's largely what I play now. Plus, Fallout 4 in November, so I'll be up to a whopping 5 games.

 

However, there are definitely some things I like about the 4 that I wish the 3 had. I like that I can quickly save a video of something cool that happened because I have it continuously recording the last 15 minutes of gameplay. I like that I can take HD screenshots on a whim to share. I'm enjoying that I can livestream straight from the 4 while I play. It's also convenient that I can upload videos straight to YouTube from it. I think back to the hassle of my game capture card hooked to my 3 and my laptop and what a cluster that was. And for all that I was able to record my ME3MP matches, I couldn't record the funny mic chatter with my peeps, which was half of the fun and hilarity, but now I can on the 4. So, for the social and sharing aspect, the 4 kicks ass.

 

I also like that I've not experienced one hard freeze yet either. The number of times my 3 seized up (largely due to Collectors/hazard maps) and I held my breath as I went to turn it back on, praying it wasn't totally bricked. Then waiting a lifetime for it to turn on, going through the file-restoring thing, then age to eternity while ME3MP loaded back up... I don't miss that (although I do miss ME3MP itself).

 

I also like standby mode. It's very convenient to leave it on while I go to work and have the 4 automatically download game patches/updates and install them. No more booting it up after work and waiting an hour for a game I wanted to play to update... I can just play it immediately now. And I find it convenient to leave in standby mode when I know DLC is dropping for the same reason... I can queue up the Playstation Store on my phone, buy the DLC, and tell my "sleeping" PS4 to wake up and download/install it while I'm at work, so it's ready to play when I get home.

 

All of that kicks butt. Really a fan. But, yeah, small library and the headset/mic situation is just dumb as hell. My two main complaints.

 

However, I feel for you guys. I can't imagine how much it sucks to have the community splitting like this, friends being torn from each other as some move on to upgrade and others don't. I still think of my bro who was my ME3MP duo partner and I miss the hell outta him.
