Hoods instead of only helmets

Well, technically the quarians used hoods too, just always with helmets underneath. Destiny's hunter is pretty much what I imagine a hooded space rogue would look like.

I'm all set. Let it be unique to certain supporting characters such as Kasumi. I'm content with the current lack of any similarities with the aesthetic of Destiny. I'd like it to stay that way.

Of all the things to not like about Destiny...
I'm down with more equipment variety in general.

Well, true but her major skill sets is stealth, information retrieval and braking and entering. Combat requires additional protection which includes armour, passive and active sensors gear.
On the flip side, we have new characters, new places and new stories to tell. So, who knows what we'll find?

Nothing more than your own assumption, right there. I hate plenty of things about Destiny. I never said I didn't like the hoods or aesthetic. I literally said that I'd prefer it if Mass Effect didn't share those aesthetic similarities.

I would prefer armor to catsuits... Don't see how a "hood" would offer more protection than a helmet.

Quarians wear hoods over their armor. There's no reason anyone else couldn't

Unfortunately, they will go with that route. I loved ME1, because I could customize my squads armor. In ME2 and ME3, they took that away and gave them catsuits and such , while we still wore armor...

if you think about it, most of the people without real armor are the ones who don't need/require it. Miranda isn't a frontline fighter thus a barrier/shield is normally enough, Jack and Samara are a super biotics, Liara isn't a real soldier, Ashley wears armor when in combat, Kasumi is a thief not a fighter... I mean the only person I can think of that doesn't wear armor but should is Jacob.

The bad thing about that is your throwing those type of people into combat situations wear they should wear types of armor

Ugh. I'm tired of catsuits too.
I want gundams for all female squaddies or I'm not buying the game.

Cool. I want the option to deck out my squad mates, is that so bad? Doesn't have to be traditional armor.

Well, it does not necessarily need to increase your defense, N7Jamaican. It could give a bonus to stealth, or possibly sprinting. It would be lighter than armor.
