Only the great Kasumi may wear the hood.
Hoods instead of only helmets

Why not a hood and a mask?
N7 Fury wears a mask under the hood. Basically Kasumi's model with a creepy mask. ^^

Of course not, otherwise they'd all look the same.
You know, like in DAMP... where they have names, personalities, voiced banter and all that crap? Where you can have the same person in the party several times... because that makes sense?

I'd like to remind you that Nyreen also wore a hood (at least in some cut scenes).
I'd also like to see more hoods in ME:A.

And a cloak. So we will be protected from rain while being protected from vacuum, bullets and explosions.

AND Helmet!
I love this Set so much, I want to see a Sci-Fi Version of that.

It's not about protection. It's about looking coooooooool.
if ME:A going to be a rpg game with rpg elements then hood also gives you attack speed,speed,accuracy,aim,dodge....so it's not really a bad idea but mass effect is not really that kind of a game.

Well there's always the recon "hood".
At any rate, I'd rather they add retractable helmets.

Hoods & helmets for combat suit,
hats & sunglasses for the casual outfit,
maybe a tiara for the more fabulous amongst us?
Could be fun ![]()

I don't mind the attack of the clones, but the banter got really repetitive really quickly in DAMP. I prefer the Quarians yelling about their soup.
I mention the N7 Fury because people keep mentioning how impractical a hood would be in combat because of lack of protection. Her armor was as lightweight as you can build specifically for her and combat. So it can be done is literally my point.
Well the Fury's outfit is pretty impractical overall.
but she's using Kasumi's model, and BioWare wasn't that big on practical combat outfits in Mass Effect 2.

Hoods....jackets....hats....in space? Lol no having catsuits was painful enough nono...i want things appropriate for the situation we are dealing with. In battle armors and helmets. Just no with all those ridiculous things (coats, cowboy hats etc)....that are in the game just because they are cool....I actually wish they take inspiration from Dead Space when designing armors
actually carrying heavy nuke weapon + shotgun + assault rifle + hand gun + sniper rifle + full body armor and helmet and walking/dancing with them in the cities is also not 'appropriate for the situation'
for me Nyreen,Tali,Kasumi more appropriate than the above

In Mass Effect 3 they actually put you into your casual outfit when you go onto the Citadel, which seems the best way to handle this.

Yeah.......well your lack of obsession with soup and bananas, along with a seeming insouciance to the clear dangers of spinach is weird to us.
also it isn't just us

But I WANT to run around in full battle armor with a huge shotgun and an equally large pistol. That was my favorite part in ME1.
AI computer thingy on the Citadel talkin' sh*t? Blow it away with a shotgun! Harkin being an ass? Blow his drink away with a shotgun!

I do not know what will be available in Mass Effect: Andromeda, but this is how I would build my guy: light armor, violet and black; hood, violet and black; boots, violet and black; futuristic bow and arrow, futuristic sai's, flash bangs; invisibility cloak.
Anyway, if I have to choose between a helmet and a hood, I would choose the hood almost every time.

Well just no...Kasumi for her role and heist mission sure, Tali (well she is a quarian and her appearance is dictated by lore), Nyreen on her second version yes....but most of the time we aren't in civilized place but in war-zones. Even if in cities we were military so it is appropriate to be fully armored. Your point seems moot.
Military-wise a hood doesn't make any sense. The protection offered is ZERO. Double ZERO.

The bad thing about that is your throwing those type of people into combat situations wear they should wear types of armor
well ME3 was the only game to take place in actual warzones so you could argue that they don't need an intense amount of armor. and I think the actual squad mates in ME3 had actual armor as part of at least one of the costumes.
