I created my own pale tintable version of the wyvern, with a view of creating a velroc (from Dragon Magic). I tinkered with the textures extensively though, weeding out some of the teeth and clipping off the curved tip of the beak using the alpha channel, changing the feathers into more generic spikes/filaments, and attempting to add actual eyes via the texture (they really need some tiny spheres added to the model - there's an eyeball texture already in the game going unused).
Scripting it to swoop in and attack proved more difficult though, and I eventually lost interest in it. Velrocs have spell resistance, and are suppose to be able to reflect spells back at the user if they successfully resist them, however the OnSpellCastAt event only fires if a spell gets through their resistance. Having them share the pain rather than reflect it still makes them an interesting enemy though.
