Id also like more customisation in clothes for shepard and squadmates. Perhaps give the captains quarters console the ability to toggle through characters.
I have more, but that would require a page. Its a great game, it just has afew little tiny things that would make it better.

1) Either a back button included for when importing ME1 characters - trying to find a specific save game - if you find you've chosen the wrong one, you have to go through the whole opening cinematics before you can try again, or having the ability to skip them.
2) Planet scanning - as everyone has said. Also, as far as I could tell, there was no difference between the original scanner and the upgrade.
3) One of the main things from ME1 that I missed was being able to drive around the planets. So the Mako had its faults, but you were still driving around on other worlds.
4) Squad dialog - there seems to be a lot less of it when you're on missions, compared to ME1. Part of what made ME1(or Dragon Age) fun was the random conversations your squadmates had.
5) More sidequests, please. Some of the anomalies really weren't worth the effort, especially when tied in with the required planet scanning.
6) Helmet toggle, please.

EDI could say something like "resources detected" and then you could scan just that planet. that could make a huge difference in the tediousness of planet scanning.
and like in ME1, there were data discs, writings and such, they could add collector relics that you could find while scanning. gives a little more insight into the collectors and reapers. it could make it a little more interesting to find the random relic while scanning.

I've finished the game twice now and have nothing else to do, hoping that tank and Kasumi DLC will arrive soon.

All the powers have them. Is especially relevant for a soldier, as I run out of ammo more frequently (which I enjoy, no complaints) but am never 100% sure which weapon to switch to. For instance, the carnifex is "lethal" but what does that mean compared to a shotgun at medium range or a sniper rifle. Especially once upgrades are in. This is definitely an oversight.

Yes, but a very small cat's pajamas. More like the kitten's pajamas. I loved it, the grittiness especially. Just wish it was five times as big and that there was a reason to go back (other than Samara's loyalty quest and the tiny Ish quest).twaninator wrote...
P.S. Omega is the cat's pajamas, just gunna throw that out there.

consuming than flying the little cartoon ship around. Plus the
navigation was easier in ME1. Going back for fuel and probes..kinda
lame.../../../../images/forum/emoticons/pouty.png
2.)
I like the customations for the ship and armor etc. and the idea of
finding resources on planets is good, but they need to find a better
way. The mining game is almost more boring than driving around the
mako looking for deposits on impossiple cliff faces. Also a few more
anomolies where you could land and do some mini exploring of the
planets would be alright....to break up the monotony of mining.../../../../images/forum/emoticons/wink.png
3.)
It would have been cool to see the changes actually made to the
normandy (clip video or something) showing what the Normandy looks like
with said changes.../../../../images/forum/emoticons/smile.png
4.)
Although I am not a fan of digging through 200 pieces of inventory I
would have liked more customization of clothing and armor for squad
mates. ../../../../images/forum/emoticons/sad.png. More choice is always good and with the streamlined inventory it would have been great to do this for the squad.
5.)
Less of (male.... haven't played fem shep yet) Shepard seeming,
sounding, and looking like a dirty perv when he is trying to make
flirty chit chat.../../../../images/forum/emoticons/wink.png
6.)
Customizable ammo??? Not sure why this was implemented but I am not a
fan. I would prefer to choose my own ammo and spend points on an
ablity of some kind instead. ../../../../images/forum/emoticons/pinched.png
7.)
Text being way too small and difficult to read. Also dialogue blending
into the background which happens a lot considering the amount of blue
light used and blue text.../../../../images/forum/emoticons/blushing.png
8.)
Voices including the guy reading the codex needs to be a little
louder. It is hard to hear sometimes over the sound of background
noise or music.../../../../images/forum/emoticons/happy.png
9.)
Minor but would have been nice. More people milling about the Normandy
and other locations rather than mostly standing in one place.../../../../images/forum/emoticons/tongue.png
10.) The citadel sucks. I am quite disappointed that you can't wander the halls of the citadel from ME1.../../../../images/forum/emoticons/surprised.png
11.) More loot perhaps or at least more stuff to buy at stores for weapons and armor etc.../../../../images/forum/emoticons/whistling.png
12.) Toggle off helmets. Kissing a visor????../../../../images/forum/emoticons/sick.png

An obvious suggestion is to change the scanning this so it's a little less tedious.
For ME3 I think the whole romance stuff could be deeper. Like different things happen based on the character you have a romantic thing going on with, besides just different dialogue with them on the ship, and ****ing right before the last mission. It would also be kool if your romance from ME2 had a bigger impact on things in ME3. And I would really like to keep the person with me throughout the game in ME3 who I had a romantic relationship with in ME2.
Being able to change the ability assigned to the Y-button would be nice.
Also the whole loyalty mission idea is absolutely genious. It gets you closer to your squadmates. But I think there could be more levels of loyalty other than just normal and loyal. Like something less than normal if you're a jerk to them (which might exist idk, I'm a nice guy lol). And something above loyal if you talk to them a lot or if they're in your squad often.
Again I want to say Mass Effect 2 is simply amazing in everyway. Best story of any game I've ever played, I think the graphics are better than any other game, and the combat is tons of fun. Amazing job

Some dlc of those three would be nice as well... they were three of my favorites from ME1.
Another thing I'd like to see would be a marrying of the technical ideas of the first game and the second.
-a return of the amount of skills from ME1 and skill building
-keeping the more precise shooting ideas from ME2
-have the charm/intimidate be based on skill points and not paragon/renegade
-Mako that drives like Mario Kart. How cool would that be?
I would sacrifice all of this list for the return of Ashley, Kaidan and Liara. I love these characters that much

LOL! ME2 is so much better than ME1. It is still an rpg, and the combat is infinitely more fun than ME1. The joke that the video game selling salarian says about how in an rpg you should have to remember to drink water, he's talking about people like you. Quit trying to ruin a great game. Everyone, except the .000001% of people who are crazy hardcore rpg fanatics, agrees that the combat is way better in ME2.
Speaking of the combat in ME2. I think for the first DLC there should be alot of combat since the combat in ME2 is so much fun I can't get enough.

2. Planet scanning change. the system itself isnt necessarily bad, its just too slow and tedious. speed it up, make nodes clearly defined, and dont make 20+ nodes per planet... first time playing you dont know how much resources you need and you scan everything, eating up alot of time and fun only to later find out that you scanned about 70,000 iridium too much.
3. MOAR SIDEQUESTS! honestly, i loved them. every mission was like an episode of star trek, and i loved the atmospheric sci-fi setting missions, same with loyalty quests, showing that they dont need to force combat into every mission to make it interesting. really wanna see more sidequests like this in ME3 (maybe some actual hazardous planets requiring sealed suits and haestrom-like hazards.)
4. helmet toggle, cause having to talk thru bug eyes and T-masks really killed the preorder armor for me.
5.more armor. pretty self-explanatory. was really disapointed that i only had 2-3 different parts to choose from. more patterns to choose from as well; colours were alright, but very little room to apply them to the desired spots. for instance, loved the pattern of liberator armor from ME1, but not the colours, wouldve loved to have been able to edit it.
5. strategic upgrades. as in having multiple armor/weapon mods that have varying effects to choose from instead of just having a bunch of direct upgrades. make us have to choose which upgrades to use again, weapons were much more personal in ME1 when i had control over how the weapon fired instead of just auto upgrading every weapon of the type.
6. stop having every shep use ARs in cutscenes. in ME1, we used pistols because all sheps had them, and when we did pull out non-trained weapons, we at least had the excuse that shepard was carrying it. now, shepard apparently carries a basic AR crammed somewhere hidden for use in cutscenes. do not want. cant be that hard to use pistols or replace that AR with the proper sniper or shotgun. very much kills the mood when my adept decides to stop flinging collectors like ragdolls and pulls out her magical invisa-rifle that she has no experience using.
7. fish-tank auto-feeder. we have advanced stealth tehcnology and AI subroutines on the normandy, but this is too high a technolgy to have? on that topic, have some alien-looking fish. most would look earth-like, but some kahje luminescent gulper eels or tuchankan death squid would be some awesome additions.
8. colour options for casual appearance. the ship obviously comes with armor stain, why not cloth dye?
9. 10 levels of skills with 1 point each. exactly the same as ME2 but im not punished for not having calculated point investments so that im not left with unusable points for no good reason. ability to redistribute does not change inability to have my own build.
10. rebalance/ reform ammo system. found myself constantly using smgs because my sniper and pistol cant last one fight. would really like a hybrid of ME1 and ME2 systems, keep tension for wasting bullets but dont leave us defenseless, jsut less capable of defending.
11. fuel system be gone. more annoying than anything, even after upgrade. combined with tedious scanning, exploring new systems is more of chore than anything.
12. more weapons/ customization options for them. we had 2-3 weapons for each class, each basically replacing the last, and nothing but direct upgrades, leaving less variety than ME1. have more weapons per class, or better yet, modular weapons like armor. shep needs the best, he can already modulate his armor for maximum effect, only makes sense he would mod his weapons too. a few pattern and colour options, and you have way more variety than ever, and weapons are actually personal.
13. the only limit to shepard's vocabulary should be the lines you record. was very frustrated that shepard not being nice or naughty enough means he cant resist morinth. shepard's actions have spoken volumes towards being feared or loved regardless of previous choices. youd think being neutral would make me more diplomatic, but instead i cant work a conversation either way. our choices should very much have consequences, but shepard's ability to speak shouldnt be one of them.
14. endgame save delete feature. i really, really, REALLY need this bioware, and there is no good reason to not simply put a 'press x to delete' feature when importing. i already have countless cluttered saves that i dont want, dont clog up my screen and memory for no reason.
15. party banter and interactions. i activate a geth in the ship, accept him as part of the team, and tali didnt even mention it until i did both their missions. squad was emotionally dead to the world when not on the ship, a little "man this place stinks", "this place is more crowded than the flotilla" or "what do organics seek to gain by gyrating on a stage together?" would go a long way to livening up the characters.
the more i like a game, the more i obsess about improving it. take my long list as a compliment bioware.
