I agree with the suggestions from Darth Sithari, not the others.

agree on all counts. Including the one above about a larger weapon selection. I love me some guns! And I don't want to have to pick up a game like Borderlands to experience using more than that sticking with the one that is forced upon me. This is a great job by the OP

Agree with OP.

So good to see a polite constructive criticism.

Squad point redistribution please. It's easy to make a mistake that after you're done with spending them, the few points still remain unused in the end, thus making your character a bit gimped. And you can't redistribute those points.

More ammo on insanity would be nice too.

Basically I posted all the little annoyances here, if anyone is interested.

Add a few more RPG(my definition) elements, i.e. stats, skills, inventory, gear etc. This game reminds of going from Elder Scrolls 3 to Oblivion. A dumb down version for console users.

I would also appreciate it if there was an expansion giving us the option to suit up our squadmates in different armor in the same way we customize Shepard's armor, as opposed to "alternative" armor.

When I preordered my game, I was thinking: "Cool, I'm going to get three exclusive suits of armor. I want to have two of my squadmates wear those..."

I was disappointed when it didn't turn out that way. :(

Agree. Also add customized armour for your characters and this could make up a little for it's shortcomings.

While it would be nice to see these features, please don't suggest things which are impossible to introduce in a patch. At least not in this topic.

All good points from the op, and with any luck easy to implement. Good to see some proper discussion with some thought behind it.

These suggestions are fair enough.

I personally do not care about the helmet feature of the armors, the collector armor seems to make more sense having a non removable helmet but terminus doesn't.

The end game save is needed indeed, as is a quicker scanner movement for those who have lesser patience.

Could we maybe just have an auto-pilot function that can be toggled on... I mean, my ship is in charted systems and still requires me and my thumb to swivel about manually to find planets that are not in my immediate sight. EDI should be able to plot that course for me and with the optimal amount of fuel expended.

I guess, sure, if some people enjoy this I don't want to take that away from them... it's just the only stand out thing I feel I have to endure in the game I otherwise love.

Point 1 doesn't really concern me, it's basically something you can do through your own memory device. The rest of the points are very right on.

I understand the point of the helmet staying on, but right off the bat theres an instance where someone recognizes you in a helm that shows not one bit of your face... pretty mood breaking. The scanner being faster, would be insanely convenient but I could understand why they might like to keep it the way it is, time=reward.

Oh, and one more suggestion: Instead of making the helmet a static option, why not make it so that you could have two "helmetwear" options in this format:

"Enable Combat/Casual Headwear Toggle" - This determines whether or not you want to constantly wear your helmet, or use the combat-duty and casual-duty headwear auto-toggle as described below.

"Combat Duty Headwear" - This is where you choose to wear your full-face helmets, which will not break immersivity.

"Casual Duty Headwear" - This customization option would allow you to choose what kind of headwear you'd want to be wearing outside of combat zones.

How does this get triggered? Easy, remember on Omega, at Solus' clinic, the game refused to let you unholster your firearm? This same trigger could determine whether or not Shepard keeps his/her helmet on, depending on the options selected. Of course, to help smooth the transition, you could do one of the following: (1) Animate Shepard removing his/her helmet (which will be bloody unlikely and require a significant investment of work); or (2) do a brief fade-out/fade-in sequence at the point where Shepard enters/leaves combat zones combined with the clicking sounds of a helmet being donned/removed. I recommend the second option because it requires minimal coding and scripting work compared to the first option.

Please, Bioware. Consider this solution for the helmet problem, I'm sure it will not be very hard to patch in.

If there are new weapons comming I hope they won't be just increasingly stronger than out-of-BOX weapons, making the game easier and easier. I'm very happy that insane difficulty is a challange in ME2. Please, no overpowered weapons.

I agree, especially for #2. I really was surprised there was no toggle helmet feature.

There are a few things that I would like to comment about.

First, the Vanguard loosing barrier is a major disappointment. I played a max out barrier Vanguard in the first game and enjoyed that setup.

Second, charge is buggy beyond belief. I have lost count of how many times I have knocked an opponet off into the unknown then the dam doors will not open because an opponet is still alive.

i agree on all points 1 to 3 and would like to suggest a 4th point :)

4. please allow the splitting of the sprint /use /duck to cover function and allow weapon shortcut mapping with keys like F1 to F4 at least for the chars main weapons for PCs ... the fact that xbox hasnt a lot of buttons shouldnt IMO restrict the PC multi key capability...

thank you for a great game to all developpers :)

Wait, we already got an overpowered weapon from Gamestop. The Blackstorm, right? Oh wait a minute, they limited ammo counts on that sucker, so...yeah, that's balanced. :D

I just find it annoying that I can't restock on heavy ammo on the Normandy.

Good thread. I too miss the old equipment screen in ME1. As time consuming as it was I liked being able to switch my mods and weapons around whenever I wanted. I get it was done to "streamline" the game, but I wonder if this was a Bioware decision or an EA one to make it appeal more to broader audiences.

Being that I've been playing alot of Borderlands recently doesn't help either, there's a ridiculous amount of weapons and mods in that game and I liked having the options.

I found manually flying around on the galaxy map quite cumbersome too. And the armour, it's a little cool to be able to change the style and color but it's ultimately pointless. The drinking through the helmet is just silly.
