I would likely to humbly suggest an alternative to the large tutorial like pop ups informing me of credits earned, codex entries, etc.
Maybe they go away on their own soon? From what I hear it doesnt sound like it but maybe Im mistaken.
I find them to be distracting and unnecessary. I presumed they were for the purpose of tutorial and went into options looking to turn it off. Something similar to ME1's symbol next to number style would be great. Maybe you get used to it as it seems to be a rarely voiced concern.
Is it in agreement that no one likes the "mission complete" screens? I don't gather anything enjoyable or useful and find them super immersion breakers and make the game seem leveled based effectively shrinking the universe.
With all this said I am still excited to get home tonight and play.
Personally I like it better than no notice at all that a quest of any kind (main/side) has been completed like in ME1. When you finished a side-quest in ME1 it would just move down the list and become greyed-out without any kind of a journal update message like the ones you get when a quest is updated but still active. Mission complete is a quest update and I never understood why we never got a notice about that.

1> Give PC users the ability to modify the UI to taste. I would suggest an option to toggle between a ME1 and a ME2 style UI, since the HUD functionality is pretty much the same. Better keymapping options for PC users would also be a great addition. I think this could go a long way to calm those who dislike the game becuase it doesn't "feel like" ME1.
2> Have the ability to toggle "Auto-Cover" like it was done in ME1. I find in combat I end up spamming my space bar to stay in cover far too often, double or triple taps to climb over objects, etc. Simple movement presses to use cover and an active to interact with it (jump over, dive, etc).
3> Have the mini-map have a toggle to always be up in combat. This might be a design or a balance issue, but I have a feeling it was a concession to keep screen clutter limited for performance reasons. I have a good rig, more screen clutter shouldn't hurt performance, unless this is a limitation of the engine.
4> Character page should give an option to review stat summaries, this is made more important later in the game when choices must be made for upgrades and armor selection. Being able to easily identify weak points and bolster them with proper upgrades and armor will go a long way of restoring the bad will generated by removal of other rpg elements.
I love console games, but the PC is my prefered platform for both shooters and RPGs. Bioware has a mixed record for console ports (KOTOR Good, Jade Empire Bad), but Bioware has done so well with their PC RPGs over the years (BG, BG2, NWN, DAO). I think ME2 may need the treatment for the PC version that DAO got, where there were big differences between the PC and Console versions. Each verison was optimized for the platform it was presented on, this is what should have happened for ME2.

A better solution would be to give a "quest completed" pop up and a credit count pop up instead of taking up the whole screen.Addicted2Anime wrote...

This.
I don't need an entire Menu to rub my ego letting me know how F***** awesome I am.
Just need a small reminded that, yes, the mission is completed.

Please do not show a Vanguard (or Adept etc) using Assault rifle in cutscenes because some classed never use that weapon. It looks really bad.

True. I was merely saying that I appreciate the feedback as opposed to getting no feedback in ME1.

Weapon stats. I consider this an rpg staple and it's a glaring omission from ME2. Are we to assume the weapon we just picked up is better than the last? How about showing us how much better, damage level, things like that.
Ditto!

Jeez I really don't know what to say other than take everything you did here and make it better.
The game is fantastic. A true classic.
I guess my suggestion would be to let us keep our alignment in ME3 if you're going to have that be the basis of negotiation again. Also, planet mining...needs improvement. It works well but it can get tedious.
I liked how you displayed some of Shepard's hand to hand prowess in the game.(Kicking a varren in the teeth and breaking a guys neck in a second flat, also beating a turian's ass in under five seconds.) More of that please.
For combat, more weapons and weapon types I guess. Melee is a helluva lot better and easier, but I would like to see it expanded with some abilities or skill trees. I got in close a lot more often than I though and I was rolling a soldier.
Biotics are a lot of fun but I feel that sometimes the heavy hitting one just don't do as much as they should, Slam for instance.(Sometimes it does massive damage sometimes it does minimal damage)
Great game though. You really churned out a magnificent experience, can't wait to see more.

In addition, I would like to say that jumpng over objects on the 360 version is annoying, as you to first take cover behind the object, THEN jump over it. I realise this probably isn't something easily rectified, but it's fairly irritating.

I've also read that the text is nearly unreadable on SD TVs. This really worries me and I never had a problem with ME1. If possible, I would love to have an option for larger text.

One of the few flaws that Bioware made is the game's romances. They are getting too cliche. The storyline may have been a bit predictable, but they could have done a MUCH better job with the romances. Some of their personalities seemed static and not as realistic as ME1. Where have the strong, witty women gone?
Ashley was somwhat witty.
Miranda just suddenly becomes "OGGG I WANT YOU"
Tali feels natural if you played #1.
I will not touch Jack with a 50 foot pole, let alone my Sheppard's man parts.

Or at least for #1, the ability to easily manage the saves.
