2. Less useless planets and more Anomalies. (Secondary side quests).
3. More freedom. Example: Landing on a planet, open world, with hidden weapons/armor/upgrades. Special and/or Rare enemies you can kill for experience and loot their stuff. Going through the Citadel or other major cities, with more floors and areas you can explore and do side quests like in ME1, plus more.
4. More side quests.
5. More customization in personal room. Maybe even buy a house with stuff to decorate it?
6. More Paragon/Renegade options.
7. More people to kill!
8. And last of all, also very important.... More RPG Elements!!
Thats it. Everything else was great!

-Squadmate armor. Keep the casual outfits for the Normandy, but allow the rest of the squad to wear armor during combat. Let us customize it like we can Shepard's.
-More dialogue between party members. Dragon Age nailed this perfectly, and I think it would fit fantastically in ME.
-I'm not sure how this would work, exactly, but I'd like to see separate cooldowns for powers again. Keep the short cooldowns but put them on separate timers. That may be overpowered, and if so I'll retract the request, but I think it would help combat feel more dynamic.
-I know the Hammerhead is coming, but I also like the idea of planet exploration. Obviously not the bland planets of ME1, but a middle ground between the open world in ME1 and closed levels in ME2 would be fantastic. This is not completely necessary, but it would definitely make the game feel more open.
-The ability to respec squadmates.
-Helmet toggle.

I am starting a polite, non-flaming petition thread to address what I consider to be the three weak links in ME2. This is NOT a complaint thread, nor a FLAME thread. This is purely a gentle request thread.
1: Add a delete utility to the ME1 import. As the series progresses, having multiple endgame files from various playthroughs of each game has the potentail to become very confusing and muddled. This will especialy become true when the entire trilogy is released. Having 10+ ME1 imports along with 10+ ME2 imports could be a nightmare in keeping track of importing one character through the whole series. By allowing players to delete these files, it would make it easier to manage which character goes through the whole trilogy.
Actually what I'd prefer to see is a small summary of what happened in that save. Killed/saved council? Who was the love interest? Wrex alive or dead? Paragon or Renegade ending? An image of the Shep in question would be nice. Surely it can't be that hard to give us some feedback.

2. Return the helmet toggle feature. While the custom armors and new helmets are impressive looking, they do present issues. The full-head helmets can be immersion-breaking and annoying during conversations, especialy with characters that are supposed to recognize or comment on your face. Additionaly, when ordering drinks from bars, Shepard will magicaly drink straight through the helmet. (SCIENCE, LOL!) Unfortunately, the only solution now is to not equip a helmet, and sacrifice an armor boost. Returning the helmet toggle would be the easiest, simplest solution.
Truth. I kept wondering how the heck people kept recognizing me even though A) I was wearing Terminus armour and

3. Allow the updgraded mineral scanner to move at full speed. Having the initial mineral scanner move slowly makes sense: the ship is new and not upgraded, it takes effort to get her up to full power. However, the improved mineral scanner doesn't really seem worth the mineral cost. The problem with the scanner isn't in how sensitive it is, it's the speed. Rewarding the player for putting effort into upgrading their ship by allowing the scanning mini-game to be easier seems like a logical step. The player has a control stick, allow them to manipulate the speed by the angle of the stick. Another easy, simple, solution, that makes sense within the game world.
This one has no meaning to me, since I play on the PC. Although that having been said I still have no idea what sort of upgrade I got for my 15k resources.
In fact this is my biggest gripe with pretty much everything in ME 2. Not enough feedback/information.
In particular could we please have some kind of stats shown in the Weapons Locker? For gods sake in ME one we knew how many shots our weapons had and that game didn't even have ammo! Now that ammo managment is critical we can't know how many shots-per-clip/ clips-per-loadout we can get from a gun without taking it into combat and making notes?
Also I do miss the old mod system. It did give one a feeling of control and interest in the weapons that is kind of missing in ME 2 with the more generic "All of type X is more powerful" upgrades. I really can't say that the ammo powers are an improvement over the old mod system sadly, either from a gameplay or lore perspective.

I would also like to bring up:
I really miss the old mod system. It was great getting a nice selection of just what you want to put into your guns. And picking the right ammo to use. And being able to change them on fly as the situation merits.
This new system is just... too simplistic.
They needed far more guns. And a good range of balanced guns in each category.
So say about 5 pistols (at least) which are all equal to each other in overall power (some more damaging but less accurate, some with bigger clips, etc). And letting the player pick something that suits their style (or just looks cool).
Instead of being stuck with the choice of the crap gun or the good gun.
Agree with this, and the OP.

I've been playing ME2 on PC since WE (great game btw
*As mentioned above I refer to the PC-Version*
-Controls:
Please integrate full Xbox-Gamepad support(<-would be welcome anyway)
AND/OR make the control-scheme less 'consoley' (by that I mean that, when playing with Keyboard+Mouse combo the game feels like aconsole port (not that I have any issues with that but I'd like to make use of a fully customizable keyboard (weapon selection mainly; y'know F1-F4)
-Ship Navigation:
Rather than steering the ship you just select an location for it to go to (No more wasted fuel* and much more convienient for both PC and Xbox useres I think)
*Get rid of the fuel anyway (beeing fans of the game anyway you can count on us exploring EVERY nook and cranny. (Systems and Planets that is)
This make buying fuel just an unneccesary money sink (Let's face it: by the end of the game we wanna make Bill Gate's finances look like petty cash^_^sorta)
-Exploring: Don't know if this doesn't require massive overhaul or is even possible, but can it be done that, when you search for resources you can 'flood' a system with probes that autonomous search for them?
(Basically like ME1 Surveing)
Because in *MY* oppinion you have to spend WAY too much time scouring the planets (e.g.: today I spent a good hour on searching resources and somewhat measly 10-15 minutes on a mission in that system) It is that time consuming and therefore unneccesary stretching.
PS:If all else fails can you change the scanner instead of holding the RMB to toggling it ON/OFF because holding it down -> moving the mouse left/right to rotate the planet -> lifting the mouse an setting it down on left/right side ->repeat ad nauseam 'till all's found puts on quite a strain
PPS: Since you already control the scanner with the mouse the Scanner-Upgrade for speed does ...well:huh:.. nothing (at least it all looked and felt the same:unsure:) So I'd say please remove it and replace it with something more usefull.
Sorry if this is quite a wall of text but I wanted to elaborate my thoughts and oppinions, also if this post comes off as demanding against the developers/you users/mods I apologise but I'm not a native english-speaker therefore I'm aware it lacks finessé, refinement and eventual gammatical correctness.

1. Biotic power tweaks - I'll just repost this from another thread because Malacroix said it all:
- Shields not affected by biotics at all, but not stopping biotics from affecting target (maybe with a reduced effectiveness)
- Armor makes targets more resistant to biotics - i.e. target is considered "heavier" when pulled/thrown/singed (ME1 had a similar thing with one of the exoskeleton armor uprgades), and Warp/Singularity do less damage. This makes sense because the target has much more mass and is much more dense on the outside
- Pure health highly affected by biotics - i.e. Heavy Warp killing them outright (completely messes up internal organs), and Throw smashing them so hard they lose consciousness for a time
- Barrier having a unique relationship with biotics - can completely stop some powers (pull/throw) but is totally destroyed by Warp (maybe even damaging target).
2. Unlimited Storm (or significantly increased)
3. Get rid of thermal clips. If your weapon overheats, you should be able to have a 'reload' animation that exposes the heat sink in order to cool it faster (I believe this was considered at some point in development and then dropped in favor of thermal clips, but I love this idea: it does the same thing as the thermal clips as far as preventing you from spamming fire but doesn't require you to look around for extra "ammo" after clearing a room, which is annoying and interferes with the flow of the firefights)
4. Ammo 'powers' shouldn't affect cooldown of biotic / tech powers
5. Get rid of ship fuel mechanic (I don't particularly care for flying around a little Normandy on the Galaxy Map, either)
6. Helmet toggle for N7 armor, if nothing else
7. Garrus' second outfit shouldn't be battle damaged

The Offhand-Ammo-Pack doesn't seem to correctly calculate the 10% Ammo gain or is not working at all sometimes (when 110% Ammo=440 it shows 439 for example)

More weapons, agreed. The number of heavy weapons was spot on.
More Armor, also. Much more! The stuff we already have looks great.
Perhaps an actual loot system, even if it just involves taking armor pieces off boss' corpses. Imagine taking down the top dog of the blue suns and being able to take his armor. (same with Blood pack/eclipse?)
Maybe same thing with guns. Personalized guns would be a logical step. Maybe bring scopes/stocks/drums/silencers that actually show up on the gun.
Ammo should stay the same. Despite some moaning, it's great.
Every Character from ME1&ME2 Recruitable! Went from 6-10, then it would go from 10-14.
Keep the great humor.
More outfits, perhaps. I do greatly prefer the individual outfits to generic PHOENIX IV armor, but more choice would be cool.
Summary: More guns and armor, possibly linked to story. Like how dragon age swords belonged to legendary warriors. More outfits for squadmates, keep our lovable team together! And humor was at a perfect level.

Dislikes space travle, the whole fuel thing just bugs me loocking at a lil normandy flying around. Reminds me to much of a board game.
Improves, cover system could use a cover to cover option, more mele animations, Shepard looks and feals a lil stiff, more fluid in the way he caries himself and his weapons, they are always pointed forward. THE OLD INVENTORY SYSTEM COMPLETE WITH WEAPON ARMOR AND UPGRADE STATS. Some one said it was streamlined Bull SHHIt it ws vaporized and burried.

but no actual guns? This DLC would add several gun models to the shops'
inventories, allowing players with particular weapon specialities to
purchase a weapon to suit their playing styles. Vanguards not aware of
the location of the Scimitar, for example, would potentially be stuck
with the basic shotgun throughout most of the game. This would fix this
problem.
2- More weapon variety (MOAR DAKKA): It's pretty much
a given bioware will do this. What i do hope is that they'll cover a
wider range of weapon statistics and not make a single weapon
overwhelmingly better than all the others
(*cough*spectregear*cough*). I'd really like to see:
-an
electro-laser assault rifle (high damage against synthetics, stuns
organics but otherwise barely harms them, doesn't work outside of an
atmosphere)
-a semi-automatic carbine (for assault rifles)
-a high capacity shotgun
-a medium range, small spread, low capacity shotgun
-a particle stream shotgun
-a variable charge pistol: hold the trigger, then release. kinda like Kyle Katarn's bryar pistol.
-a precision pistol with a low rate of fire and a 1.5x scope, and a 5 percent bonus to headshots.
-weapons
with a default ammo setting. the ammo powers would grant a bonus to
these, or override them entirely. considering their impact on gameplay,
they'd be the most expensive to buy/develop.
-an EMP heavy weapon to stun synthetics.
-A VOLLEY GUN.
3-
Romance sidequests. The characters are interesting and all, but the
romances kinda boil down to: "I really like you!" and "I really like
you too!" and they really don't impact the story except when you go
through the omega relay (although i hear yeoman chambers is an
exception). Would be nice if we could, you know, DATE them before we
sleep with them? just sayin'...
4- a cybernetics cosmetics suite. for 50000 pieces of
platinum, I would want more than just a face lift. How about being able
to alter your appearance (i want blue in black cyborg eyes!), or even
add implants for gameplay bonuses, like a prosthetic ear that gives you
a radar HUD, or eyes that grant you a slight zoom for all your weapons
in aim mode?
5- a hybrid version of ME1 and ME2's heat management systems
(could be applied in an update). Basically, regenerating ammo: Say you
run out of heat capacity, you either wait for the heat sink to slowly
purge itself or eject it and get back into the fight. It would add a
slight resource management element to the combat, and it wouldn't be a
slap in the face of the established technological backstory. Ammo regeneration rate could be proportional to the game's difficulty, that is, fast on Casual, slow on Veteran, and non-existant on Insanity.
an
additional feature to consider: keep firing your gun without ejecting
the oversaturated sink, and you run the risk of it exploding and killing
you.

2. Helmet toggle please
3. More weapon variety and balancing.
4. Insanity...I just finished it, and I have to say i was deeply annoyed and frustrated. It was the difficulty I expected, but there was a lack of design and balance. It seemed you guys just went "Hey lets increase their health and call it a day!" Wheres the extra enemy abilities? Wheres the special 'hard mode' boss battles? The last part of the game was actually the easiest out of the whole thing.
5.NG+... Why can you not choose a different class when starting NG+? I realize your skills carry over, but why isn't it just "Ok he was this level, so heres the points to spend." Not only would it increase replay value, but people that are sick of their class wouldn't have to relevel a new character.
6. Glitches - This isn't much of a suggestion, but more of a tip/insight. In ME2 there are giant audio cut offs. Some of them in very important parts of the story. I would rather see a game delayed by a few weeks and have a working game than get a game early and have the story ruined because the audio wanted to cut out. (Example - Samara's personal quest, the ending, audio cuts out during the climax, miss an entire segment of dialogue unless you have subtitles on)
7. Cameos - We got to talk to kaiden/ashley for what....25 seconds or so of dialogue? Did they tell on us for being with cerberus? How are they feeling? Where did they go when they left? For being such major characters in the first game, it seems irresponsible to ignore them in this one. Now if you decide to bring them back in ME3 its just going to be some 'out of nowhere' appearance. "Hi, I was pissed at you, i left, now i'm back after 2 years, lets kill crap."
Hopefully the ME2 characters won't be tossed out the door like that.
8. HOLY LOADING TIMES BATMAN!!!! The xbox version has some of the worst loading times of this generation. In fact, I would say the only other game that suffers more from loading times is Lost Odyssey. Die? 20 second load time. Landing on a planet? 20 second load time.
9. Communication...squad members in ME1 and Dragon Age communicated all the time. It made their characters feel more in depth and interesting. There was barely any in ME2. No conversation between squad mates during missions, and the only dialogue between them on the ship was limited to the obvious showdowns that everyone saw coming since the characters were announced.
10. Upgrades....why do they not carry over? We have to suffer through the boring scanning system every single playthrough just to get the exact same upgrades over and over? Its not fun. Anybody that says "Wow i could scan planets for HOURS, this is soooo fun" is just such a big bioware fan that they've become delusional.
All that said, the game was awesome. I enjoyed both the playthroughs i've done already, and look forward to doing more. It would be nice to see these problems addressed via patch, DLC, or even just fixed in time for ME3. The most important part is the ending, i know you guys won't let us down

I agree with everything you say.
It's clear an awful lot of work went into this game, and it's very, very good, but there are places where it doesn't quite gel, and those Moodath states are perfect examples.
To this I would add, to the already cacophonous mass, the lack of RPG elements. There's a ton more dialogue, but it's seemingly a substitute for choice and consequence. If RPG now means 'customise the colour of your armor; have your face go glowy if you're a badass; and scan for minerals to upgrade your ship', well, that doesn't cut the image of RPG the majority of us have.
I'm looking forward to how Bioware respond in ME3

That said, what i'd love to see in ME3:
More varied missions- Thane and Samara's loyalty quests showed that not all missions need to be conbat based. Some more variety would be great. Some stealth missions, explorations, vehicular, and combat.
Unfortunately scanning got pretty darn tedious fast. As did fuel and probes. Not sure they really added that much to the game.
Biotics not having any effect on armour or shields is understandable, but makes the game nearly unplayable on harder difficulties for adepts.
I think the old system of equipment management was actually better. I think the complaints about it were more about the menu screen being clunky and difficult to navigate, not the system itself. The new armour/weapons system seems quite limiting.
Would love to see a return to squadmates with a full array of powers. Only 3 powers each is annoying.
More individuality. I know that it makes it difficult accomadating for all the different variables, but I was really looking forward to seeing the different councils- Original, New Human, New Alien. However so far there has been almost no difference. Yes i know it means creating more content and assets, but sometimes it seems the mass effect trilogy has so far created the illusion of choice and consequence more than there actually being choice. The choices we made at the end of mass effect 1 really didn't have much of a payoff in 2, it was basically the same scene no matter what. A proper return the presidium would be nice
And finally... Earth has to be in the next game. Mars would be nice too!

Generally, allow 360 rotation of the character, and natural lighting, in the character creator. Would solve the above issue a bit as well.
