I can't understand why this is still not a feature in the SP while it's so good and useful in MP.
Dismantling equipment we don't need anymore and convert them into materials (crafting ingredients) saves a lot of space in the inventory and allows us to recycle items that don't give us a lot of coins in shops. One simple command like this would help us explore as much as we want without having to fear the damn limit in our bags.
Please, Allow us to Dismantle Items in Single Player Mode

Plus it's actually physically painful to watch priceless crafted materials sell for 7 gp when it comes time to sell the item. Along with trash loot that sells for 4,000 + gp.

Like, I don't care if it has to be a tool somewhere in towns, I just want it. Would be better if it was implemented in the menu, directly though.

I don't understand why this was implemented in MP but not SP

Possibly because gaining crafting materials in MP is very slow if you aren't disassembling items, whereas it is relatively simple and fast in SP. Also, in SP there are high tier crafting materials that are only meant to unlock later in the game, but these materials could be made available too early if you got lucky with some random loot drop that gives you tier 3 crafting materials when disassembled. That could unbalance the game difficulty.

The games difficulty is already unbalanced and it's not about mats for me, Imo it sucks when the lootable armors are so bad compared to crafted, that I end up selling everything. In DA:O, I can remember all the bad a** armor but after that DA2 failed at that aspect by trying to make the champion armor iconic. DA:I failed even more so imo, I expected the the last three dragons to drop something badass on my first playthrough but all I got was armor that didn't even come close to my crafted armor and weapons. Being able to break those things down and get mats for me is a lot more satisfying then selling it all(makes me feel like I worked for nothing)
It wouldn't quote for some reason

@JWvonGoethe
I can get tier 3 mats as soon as I'm done with the chantry sisters meeting(what's funny is you can farm paragons luster and obsidian right away and be OP)
