Just a few modes I was thinking up last night, would like to propose them.

#1 - Dungeon Escape:

Closest I thing I can compare this to is in Dragon Age Awakening, when escaping from The Architect's prison, it's where I go this idea from.

For the purpose of this mode, weapons and armour we have unlocked aren't included. A group of one to four players start in a cell, as I stated no equipment or weapons and only the default Inquisition armour. The prison would contain five to ten zones with enemies getting increasingly harder on each zone.

While escaping you would have to visit different rooms with a chest that auto equips a low level weapon to start with on your chosen class, for example a group with a Necromancer, Elementalist, Katari and Archer, the two mages would automatticaly be equipped with staves upon opening the chest, the Katari a randomized two handed weapon and the archer a bow, all these starting weapons would be the starting Inquisition weapons, so that you aren't too overpowered from the get go. Players that join late in the match are equipped with the equipment from the current chest you have opened.

Throughout each increasing zone as the enemies get harder, the armour and weapons you find increase in value, there would also be multiple rooms leading to gold through either the brick walls, barriers or locked doors.

Upon completion or death when you are returned to the multiplayer menu, your regular armour/weapons go back to normal.

#2 - The Calling:

Darkspawn only enemies, if they are added eventually, one player only, one zone only, set in the deep roads, you hold out for as long as possible against incrasing difficulty of Darkspawn enemies, starting with genlocks, then hurlocks get involved, emissaries and shriekers, ogres etc, until you are killed, are the taint take over you, maybe have a leaderboard for highest amount of time survived, exp and gold would be earned, depending on how long you lasted.

#3 - Throwback Maps:

Resident Evil Revelations 2 Raid Mode gave me this idea, and the Fereldan Castle multiplayer map reinforced that idea as it reminded me of Fort Drakon back in Origins.

Basically a bunch of multi zoned maps from previous Dragon Age missions for the multiplayer characters to go through, and it doesn't have to be canon, it's just for fun. Any enemies could be used for this as well.

1 - Fort Drakon:

Start in Denerim markets, and make your way to the top of Fort Drakon and defeat the Arch Demon.

2 - Kirkwall:

During the mage rebellion start in Hightown and make your way to the Gallows where you must defeat that crature Orsino changed into.

3 - The Mothers Lair:

Like in Awakening, make your way through the down every floor of The Mothers Lair, until you finally reach The Mother herself and defeat her.

4 - Deep Roads Expedition:

Traverse through the Deep Roads as Hawke and crew did, Until you get to the ancient rock wraiths, defeat them and collect your treasure as a reward.

5 - Corypheus Prison:

Just like in the Legacy DLC for Dragon Age 2, make your way through each floor before fighting Corypheus at the end.

6 - Circle Tower:

Circle Tower has been infested with enemies, start on the ground floor and work your way to the top, Commander units would be used once at the top of this floor.

#4 - The Fade:

Just like the Circle Tower mission in Origins, one to four players must escape from the Fade and defeat the Sloth Demon, as a twist each player could start out on a seperate island and must collect a key from that islands mini boss in order to fight the Sloth Demon, and so one person doesn't just run ahead, you can't proceed until you have all four keys, if you have finished your island first, however, you can travel to one of the other islands to help out other people in your team.

#5 - Resource Gathering:

Probably the most unlikely but still just as idea, basically, use all the single player mapssuch as Hinterlands, Hissing Wastes, Emerald Graves etc and just allow us to travel around in groups of four collecting resources, maybe use mounts we have unlocked in single player, after all isn't that what these Inquisition agents are for in some of the war table missions, such as collecting coin or herbs.

Random enemies would still wonder around as well as a High Dragon on each map, though I would make key locations unaccessible. Any resources and gold gathered could be sent to our single player file, while we also gain a small portion of resources for crafting items in multiplayer.

Sounds a bit mmo'ish but you wouldn't have to play it if you don't want to.
