For the record, the first five years of my twenties, I totally wasted by partying, playing video games and having no focus. Aside from eventually getting a liberal arts degree, not much to be shown for those years.

From the time I was 25 to 30, I established myself in a good career, started and finished my MBA, met the woman of my dreams who I married and had a kid, all while netting no less than five promotions or new jobs.

If you think you are "wasting" your 20's by working or not partying, trust me... you're not. Clubbing, partying and doing pointless stuff just leaves you with pounding headaches and nothing to show for it. And when it comes to finding the right woman... it sounds like you are more caught up in the prowl than in the finding. Once you become less concerned with meeting women, THAT'S when you'll find the right woman.

This is advice I'm actually going to take to heart

So usually I don't do this, but...

Omina have to disagree with all y'all. When else can you party like a rockstar if not your 20s? I'm not saying you should have a raging hangover every Saturday and Sunday morning, but you should enjoy yourself. My early 20s were so much fun! I lived in Boston right after college made $1650 a month. My rent was $850, then I had like $300 in in utilities and such, I spent no more than $50 a week on groceries and made lunch and dinner during the week when I was working and the rest was my weekend budget. And for the most part I bought my own drinks. I didn't want guys thinking I owed them and I had a (stupid, awful, but didn't know it at the time) boyfriend, so paid for myself. And I had a blast most weekends. I had a friend whose brother bounced at one of the coolest clubs downtown, so we got in free. The Big Easy had a mechanical bull and I was just out of my competitive horseback riding days, so I was awesome at it. And I had so much fun getting drunk then coming home at 2 am and wasting my friends at Smash Bros. Did I have a hangover every now and again? Sure, but it's nothing a pot of tea and a nap won't fix. And sometimes I made bad decisions (like the time I ran off with my brother and a bartender on my birthday in Marbella, Spain, to go to Feria del Noche) but the vast majority of the time I ended up having a fun experience that I never would have gotten if I played it safe (like the time I ran off with my brother and a bartender on my birthday I Marbella, Spain to go to Feria del Noche). So get out there and have fun, Bunzie. You've got the rest of your life to be responsible.

And now the rest of you can judge 23 year old me.

This is good advice as well - have fun in your 20's... heck, some of the most fun I've had was when I did something far stupider than I should have. But don't think that choosing to work hard, study or doing other things to advance yourself over partying is ever a bad choice, either. Room for both, I say.

Most of my friends have kids. They say it's great. I think being a parent would make me miserable. Point is everyone will have something that will make them happy, even if it doesn't make sense to other people. You won't know what makes you happy until you're doing it, so go do things until your happy aaaaand screw the people who would say it makes no sense.

You're not missing out if you don't want to do it. If you rather go to a library than going in a pub.. Than you're not missing out. If you rather stay single and live the bachelor life rather than  marry, have kids and have a toy dog named dexter. You're not missing out.

You're not missing out if you're not doing what you want to do. Unless you have some form of anxiety problem that stop you from doing stuff you would want to do, but don't. Than you're not missing out on anything.

If you go to a pub because of peer/social pressure. You're missing out. Because you're doing something you dislike doing.

EDIT

ALTHOUGH

Getting out of your comfort zone is important.

I've always been calm. Never been much for partying or getting drunk. But I did get all that out my system before I turned 20 and I don't miss it at all. All my mistakes due to drinking or falling for the wrong guy are far behind me.

Now it's all work and hardly no play. I'm looking forward to my future so I don't care that I'm not having fun right now.

They say the greatest happiness in life comes from your own children and family.

I'm turning 30 soon and now I truly believe that if I live my life without having a child, it will be my biggest regret.

Anyway, you don't have to force yourself to do something that you don't enjoy, but you should still keep an open mind to try and experience new things. I've done all sorts of things that I'm not really proud of, but I also have never regretted doing them. Because no matter what happens, it will become a memory that you can recall or a good story that you can share with your friends later on. When life gives you lemons, make lemonade.

So live your life while you're still young before you regret it. That's my advice to everyone.

Ever deal with a crazy family? If that's the most joy one has in life they might as well repaint the ceiling with their own brain matter.

I'll get a family when I'm in my late 30s early 40s. Is there anything that I could do in my 20s that wouldn't make that possible?

Exposing your testicles to high amounts of radiation. Avoid that at all costs.
Also getting a random chick knocked up could make it tricky. Not necessarily a deal breaker, though.

Also, also (and I can't believe I'm going to say this) I agree with Recon.
Hear me out: children aren't for everyone. My husband and I plan not to have any. A lot of people do it because they think they should or it's something their partners want, but not necessarily what they do, and that doesn't end well. Not everyone likes sushi (heathens) and not everyone likes children (making me someone else's heathen). So just because some people say it's cool doesn't mean you should do it. For people who want to start a family, I'm sure the joy is incomparable and I'm super excited about my future niece/nephew. For me, there's always more sushi.
