No. Buy a PC.

Wait... you're on a PC to use the forums...

Obviously you just bought your game for the wrong system. :P

After MS "fixed" mine, it did that for a whole year. About two weeks ago it just stopped. I'm sorry though. :(

that sucks! hope you get it fixed. Mine is making odd noises and not reconising that there's a disc in the drive half the time. I'm trying to ignore it...

That happened to me about a month ago. The day after I bought Dragon Age. I knew Mass Effect 2 was coming out soon and I was out of warranty. So it would have cost me $99 to send it in, wait a month, and get another refurbished console. In the end I just sucked it up and bought an arcade edition 360 for $200. I think its well worth it. So much quieter and produces much less heat. Not to mention a 3-year warranty comes with it.

Happened to me a few times. I just unplug my Xbox and replug it back in a few minutes later and it worked. Eventually just RRoD on me though. :(

+1 Lol :)

What amazes me the most (and sorry to bash here)...is that its common knowledge how junk the 360 is, always going wrong, scratches discs....and everyone knows this...but they still buy them?

I mean wow....can you people buy my product please...you must be the most loyal people in world :)

Let's try and make sure this doesn't turn into a console vs. PC thread. Thank you.

Thing is, when the 360 was out it was not advertised as RRoDing (obviously). Since I prefer consoles, well, I buy consoles games. Even if I knew about it, I would still have bought it for the games I wanted and because I prefer consoles.

I know you guys have superiority complexes, and I'll live with that. It's just that I don't particularly care about graphics (360 is doing just fine, anyway I still play the original Ghost Recon on pc mind you) and I like bulky controls.:alien:

For me, it depends on the type of game...

I love consoles. I have enough of them:

NES, SNES, N64, GameCube

Genesis, Dreamcast

Xbox

PS1, PS2, PS3

And I have my 2 gaming quality PC's (hooked up LAN so my friend can come over and we can play co-op stuff).

I've always bought games for whatever felt more "proper".

Shooters like ME2 I always get on PC. Mouse and keyboard trumps all.

For platformers and adventure/action games, I like to get them on console.

RPG's on PC, jRPG's on console.

Strategy and tactical games... well, PC when I can, there's some great ones on console (Final Fantasy Tactics for example).

I have nothing against the 360 really. Just the fact that everyone I know has had absolutely no luck with them. My friend bought one, it died in a couple of days... he got a replacement... which died... and another... which died... and another... which died... and got his 5th one, which died as soon as he hooked it up... at which point he gave up and bought a PS3.

I had my PS3 on release day (camped out for it). And I don't want to waste my money on a system that's just going to die soon after I get it.

I like both consoles and PCs. Sorry to hear about your 360. Mine did pretty much the same thing. It was nice while it lasted but I refuse to buy another 360.

I know how it feels :/

2 days ago when I was finishing up my last ME1 save for ME2... Xbox decided it was finally time, after working flawlessly for 3-4 years, to do the RROD...

It really sucks :(

Not everyone can afford a $10,000 rig to play this game.
